Jungkook adjusted the blanket higher over Hayoung's shoulder, tucking it around her like a fragile doll. His hand froze mid-movement.
His breath hitched.

There, faint but undeniable against her pale skin, were the fresh red marks — the kind no makeup or hurried explanation could hide.

Hickeys.

His heart stopped for a second, his chest tightening with a suffocating ache. Every muscle in his body went rigid, and the air around him seemed to thicken. He dragged his hand back slowly, clenching it into a fist on his thigh, as though sheer willpower could steady him. But his jaw was trembling, his nostrils flaring.

He looked at Nayoung and Taehyung, his eyes burning with fury and desperation. "What the hell happened to her?" His voice was sharp, low, breaking through the silence like shattered glass.

Nayoung exchanged a glance with Taehyung, her own throat tight. She had dreaded this moment, but now that it had arrived, there was no running away.
"Jungkook..." she began carefully. "Sit down. Please."
"I said—" Jungkook's voice cracked, anger spilling over, "what the hell happened to her?"

Taehyung stepped forward, placing a steadying hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "We'll tell you everything," he said firmly. "But not here. Let's go to the living room. She needs to rest."

Jungkook looked back at Hayoung one more time, his chest heaving as though he was fighting every instinct to stay by her side. Finally, with a sharp inhale, he stood and followed them out.

Living Room — Conversation

The silence was unbearable. Jungkook stood by the couch, his fists pressed into his thighs, while Nayoung and Taehyung sat across from him. His eyes were wild, burning with questions he didn't want answers to.
Nayoung swallowed hard. "Jungkook... Hayoung didn't go there willingly. She was tricked."

"Tricked?" His head snapped toward her. "By who?"
"Her boss," Taehyung answered without hesitation, his voice hard, steady. "Rohan."

Jungkook blinked, almost as if the name didn't make sense at first. Then it hit him. His jaw clenched so tightly it looked painful. "That bastard—" He shot up from the couch, pacing the room like a storm contained in human skin. "I knew something was wrong. I knew it—"

"Jungkook," Nayoung interrupted, her own voice shaking but clear. "Listen to me. He drugged her. He made her think... she wasn't with him. He tried to take advantage of her."

The words struck him like a knife. Jungkook's hands flew to his hair, pulling hard, his chest rising and falling violently. His voice cracked, thick with rage and pain. "He—he touched her?"

Neither Taehyung nor Nayoung answered right away. The silence was enough.

Jungkook's body shook, his hands trembling as he slammed them down on the coffee table so hard it rattled. "I'll kill him." His voice was low, lethal. "I swear to God, I'll kill him with my own hands."
Taehyung stood, blocking him. "No. You can't. That's exactly what he'd want — to drag you into something reckless."

"You think I care?!" Jungkook roared, his eyes bloodshot, a tear sliding down his cheek he didn't bother to wipe away. "He hurt her! He—" He stopped, choking on the words. "And I wasn't there." His voice broke completely, softer now, filled with guilt. "I wasn't there to protect her."

Nayoung stood too, her voice sharp but trembling. "Don't you dare blame yourself! Don't. If anyone should've seen it coming, it was me. I tried, Jungkook. I tried to warn her, but she wouldn't believe me. She trusted him more than she trusted me." Her voice cracked, and her eyes glossed over.
