Dragonfly 2.0

"Hiccup...I said that if you try dragonfly number two, I lock you up!" Astrid said and pointed a finger towards his face. Hiccup looked at we finger before he looked at her face and shrugged.

"It worked...didn't it?" He asked. Astrid rolled her eyes and slowly let down her hand. "Alright, fine...you win!"

Hiccup laughed. "Thought so..." He said and looked around. "There they go..."

Astrid looked out over the sea and in a distance, she saw the Speed Stingers run away. "Yeah..."

Hiccup looked at her with concerned eyes. "What's the matter Astrid?" He asked. "Nothing..."

"Come on" He started. "We both know that's not true..." Astrid looked at him. "I just wonder what and where Heather could be now..." The blonde said.

Heather had left a few weeks ago and since then, she hadn't come back for help or anything. Hiccup looked at the blonde beside him that he loved.

He hesitated but then he slowly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against him. "I'm sure she's fine...I mean, she does have Windsheer."

Astrid looked at the young man beside him. "Your right..." She said and placed her head on his shoulder. Hiccup's breath caught in his throat.

Astrid smiled. She place her hand on his arm that was laid around her waist. Their moment was interrupted by Tuffnut. "Do you guys always have to be like this-" He said and gestured towards them. "-in front of us?!"

The others agreed. However, Fishlegs was quiet. He didn't mind them being like that. They just showed that they cared about each other.

The two pulled away from each other. Astrid looked at the gang before she looked at Hiccup. "We should go back to the edge..." She said and headed of towards Stormfly. However, they soon realized that they had to stay on the beach because Hookfang, Barf and Belch and Meatlug where paralyzed.

Stormfly laid down on the sand and Astrid leaned against her. The big dragon nuzzled her riders side. Astrid smiled and patted the Nadders head. Stormfly squawked before she settlers down to sleep.

The other riders went to sleep. However, Astrid was the only one up right then. She saw as Hiccup sat down beside Toothless and closed his eyes.

Astrid just couldn't stop looking at the auburn haired man.

She adored him. He was smart. He was strong. He was...hot. Maybe Heather was right. They maybe where a thing. They just didn't know it themselves. But Astrid really wanted. She wanted someone to love her. To care about her - even if she didn't show it.

It must have gone thirty minutes before the blonde slowly stood up and quietly walked over to Toothless. She sat down my Hiccup's side, on her knees and reached for his shoulder but she hesitated.

He looked so calm. So...relaxed. She hadn't seen him so...peaceful in a very one time. It was like nothing bothered him now. But she would if she woke her up.

Suddenly, Hiccup groined and opened his eyes. They landed right on her. "Astrid?" He asked. "Sorry...I, I should go..."

Astrid then stood up. She was just about to leave when she let someone grab her hand. She turned around and looked at Hiccup. He had stood up was now holding her hand. He slowly pulled her against him.

"Why where you up?" He asked as he wound his arms around her waist after releasing her hand.

"I...I couldn't sleep..." Astrid said and looked down. She then felt Hiccup take away one of his hands from her waist and placed it under her chin.

The young woman looking into Hiccup's eyes. "And why's that?" He asked softly, trying not to wake up the others.

Astrid looked away. "Because I was thinking..." Hiccup looked at her.

"About what?"

Astrid looked at him. "About you" She said simply and placed her hands on his shoulders. Hiccup looked at her with a small smile.

"Why me?" He asked and brushed aside her bangs. Astrid smiled.

'Here goes nothing...' She thought. "Because...because I..." She tried to say it but she couldn't.

"You...? What?" Hiccup asked, patiently as ever. "I'll just show it..." She said and in a matter of seconds, she had pressed her lips against his. Hiccup went wide eyes before he closed them and wrapped his arm around her waist, hugging her tighter as he pulled her flush against him.

Astrid wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips harder against his, opening them.

Hiccup was surprised but opened his mouth to and their tongues met. They must have been making out for a few moments before, "really?!"

The pulled away and turned to where the voice came from. Tuffnut.

"Fine!! We leave then!" Astrid said and whistled for Stormfly. The dragon walked over to her rider. Toothless woke up and noticed that Hiccup wasn't beside him so he looked around.

The black dragon then noticed his rider by Astrid and Stormfly. He stood up and walked over to him.

"Come on Toothless...lets go home to the edge." The dragon warbled and Hiccup sat up. So did Astrid on Stormfly and they flew away to Dragon's Edge.

"Finally! Some peace and quiet!" Tuffnut yelled after them before the others went to sleep.

That was surely a night to remember...
