Hiccup's POV.

I hope Astrid will be fine while we get the Buffalord to Dragon's Edge. She's gotten ill, - very ill - and we brought Gothi to the Edge. However, Gothi wrote something about a Buffalord. An inflatable dragon who looks like a yak.

It was hard to find him but we finally got him and we're on our way back to her.

Astrid is the only person who could make me do anything. Even though she probably doesn't know it, she's got a special place in my heart. Astrid and I, we've been through stuff no one else have been thought.

Like, when we had that flight on Toothless. And the times she supported me. She's someone really special to me. And knowing that she's getting worse by the second, I can't help but feel anxiety creeping into me as well as fear.

What if...

What if we get home and Astrid's...

No! I can't think like that. My girl will make it! She's strong and tough. She won't give up so easily. She's a warrior.

"We have to hurry!" I yelled back at the others. Buffalord was still flying behind me and Toothless calmly. He probably knows that he has to help someone.

Author's POV.

They reached the Edge rather fast and the first thing Hiccup did after landing was to jump off of Toothless and run towards his hut.

Since she had gotten up in the middle of the night, saying that she was nauseous and swaying slightly, Hiccup had said that she should lay down in his bed to rest.

She did and he stayed with her all night, watching over her, holding her hand and stroking her hair.

However, when she announced that she was feeling even worse than before, Hiccup leaned down and pressed his lips against her forehead, telling her that he'll be back soon and then, she'll get better.

Hiccup's POV.

I ran as fast as I could. Even though we had landed a few yards away from my hut, I still ran. Astrid is an important person to me. And I don't know what I would do if I lost her. She's my everything. We're best friends. She's the only friend that I can tell secrets to. Secrets that is about me, about her and about us.

People talk about us on Berk. How we're in the right age to marry and stuff. However, even though Astrid and I like each other, very much, I want to wait. I don't want to force her into something she doesn't want. Especially not with a fool like me.

I opened the door and saw her laying on my bed. Gods above, she is so beautiful.

However, I can't think about that now. I ran over to my bed and sat down. What should I do? Grab her hand or hug her or what? I don't know.

I placed my hand on her shoulder and slight shook her. "Astrid," I said calmly. No response. "Astrid!"

Just when I thought my life would come to an end, her eyes fluttered open and she looked at me.

"H-Hiccup, y-you're ba-back," She said, her voice failing her. "Oh, thank Thor you're alive," I said and wrapped my arms around her, hugging her. I felt her arms slowly wrap around my neck before hearing a faint voice say, "Thank y-you, Hiccup. Y-you mean s-so much t-to me."

I signed and pulled away, pressing my lips to her cheek. "I'll be back with the cure soon. And then you'll be better. I promise," I whispered before looking her in the eye.

Just as I stood up and turned towards the closed door, a hand grabbed mine. I turned back towards her and she was looking at me. Directly in the eye.

"Yes?"
