This Changes Everything...

Hug

Astrid smiled and carefully wrapped her arms around Hiccup's shoulders. She looked into his eyes for a good three seconds before looking out over the sunset.

Hiccup followed her and hesitated but wrapped an arm around the blondes waist.

They really didn't know how long they had stood there but it must have been a good while because only half of the setting sun was left, spilling it's orange and pink light over the two young adults.

Suddenly, Astrid pulled away her hands from his shoulders and walked to the spot in front of Hiccup. She smiled while she wrapped her arms around his ribs and back, laying her chin on his shoulder, also leaning the side of her head against his.

Hiccup smiled and wrapped his arms around her torso. The angle was quite weird but at least they where hugging each other.

But then, Astrid pulled away her arms from him and placed her hands on the young man's cheek. Hiccup looked into her eyes, catching her off guard.

His eyes...they where almost magical. Green as the trees in the forest. Green as any grass she had ever seen and just as green as his dragon's eyes.

She loved his eyes. And she would always love his eyes. They where so beautiful. And before she had registered it, her lips where slowly moving towards him.

Just as her eyes where about to close, Hiccup moved his arms down to her waist and pulled her closer. He smashed his lips against hers in a affectionate and powerful kiss.

Even though they had only kissed a couple of times, it was always so magical. But this time, it wasn't Astrid who had initiated the kiss, but Hiccup.

And she loved it. She loved him. And she would always love him.

Hiccup suddenly pulled away and leaned his forehead against hers. Astrid smiled when she heard him say, "Astrid, your the only one in my life right here and right now that cares about me. You do know that I love you, right?"

"Yes, of course I know. I know, now..." She said and trailed her hand though the long auburn locks at the back of his neck. Hiccup hummed calmly before smiling.

"I love you to, Hiccup..."

He hugged her, gently, pulled her against him as he buried his nose into her soft and silky hair.

Knowing that they loved each other made both of them sleep very well that night.
