(A/N: I love how honest he really is about his feelings. He knows he can't hide them from her. I got I inspired by that.)

The sun was setting before the cave they were in. Coming back from their mission, they had been afraid that Viggo had plundered the whole place, - which did actually happen. But, thanks to Ruffnut taking the Dragon Eye, they hadn't found what they were searching for. Even if it was covered mud and other stuff they didn't know of, it was safe and it was still there.

Astrid noticed rather quickly that right after "punishing" Ruffnut for taking the Dragon Eye, he disappeared out of the cave.

The blonde turned her head and saw him stand at the entrance of the cave. She slowly went over and asked, "Are you okay?" Before softly placing a hand on his shoulder.

Hiccup turned his head towards her and smiled slightly. "Yeah," He said before bowing it and starting to walk away from her. "No..."

She watching him walk away. He didn't stop. Once she saw him disappear behind the threes and bushes, she quickly turned around, said, "I'll be back," to the others and then rushed of.

Well, that was twenty minutes ago. She still haven't found him. As she searched, she thought about the things that had happened in the past.

Goosebumps formed on her skin when she thought about the battle against the Red Death.

Him falling from the sky, Toothless plummeting after him, trying to save him. The feeling of loosing him. She sat beside his bed a few hours everyday, talking to him. How her day had been, what they'd been doing, improvements, etc.

She looked up and saw that she was back at the Club House. Looking out over the ocean, she noticed someone walking by the shore.

"Hiccup."

•••

Hiccup was kicking the sand with his foot, his hand in his pockets. "Oh, I messed up so bad..." He said to himself, his head bowed and his eyes droopy. He was tired. He hadn't slept for days but he didn't care.

"What I'm I going to do? We have to get that Dragon Eye back somehow...but how?" He asked himself before sighing.

"We'll figure it out somehow, okay?" Came a sweet voice from behind him.

He stopped walking and looked up, turning around. "Astrid? What are you doing here?" He put on a happy face and acted like nothing was wrong. But, she frowned at him.

"Sit," She said and pointed to the log laying a few yards away from him. He looked at her before sighing and walking over to it, sitting down.

"Hiccup, listen," Astrid started as she walked up to him, stopping in front of him. She reached out one of her hands and Hiccup looked at it before pulling out his hand from his pocket and placing it in hers.

She placed her other hand over his laying in hers. "I know things are hard right now but, it's gonna be okay. Talk to me about it. I'm here. I want to help you, not to let you suffer," She said as pulled away one of her hands, brushing it through his bangs to move them out of his eyes.

He looked up at her. He wasn't much shorter then her when he sat down. "Listen," He started and stood up, growing several inches in seconds. Astrid looked up at him. "I know you want to help, Astrid, but I don't need your help."

He pulled his hand away from hers and turned around, wanting to walk away. She acted fast.

"Remember when we met in the Cove after Gothi choose you to kill Hookfang? And when I met Toothless? That crazy ride he gave us? That Romantic Flight?" She asked and stopped to look at him?

"And when I kissed you after you woke up?" She said. He haltered himself and looked back at her, over his shoulder.

"I kissed the love of my life that day. My feelings still haven't changed."

Hiccup turned around fully to look at her. "You...?" Astrid laughed and walked up to him slowly. "Yes, Hiccup. I love you. I know, it's weird and you probably don't feel the same but-" He interrupted her.

He placed his hands on her cheeks and pressed his lips against hers, slowly moving his hand down her neck, shoulder and arm until he wrapped it around her waist.

He pulled her against him tightly, not letting her go. Pulling back slightly, he looked at her, his nose still touching hers.

"I'm so sorry, Astrid. I'm just not myself from time to time," He whispered and buried his face into her neck. "It's okay. I'll always be here to remind you of what you are and what you always were," She said softly and wrapped her arms around his back, kissing his jawline.

He pulled back a few minutes later, looking at her. "What would I do without you, Astrid?" He asked before leaning his forehead against hers.

She let out a small laugh before pecking his lips. "Hey, Astrid?" He asked her, his hand slowly moving over her lower back, stroking it. "Hm?" She hummed out, pulling her head away from his and laying it in his shoulder.

Hiccup smiled and turned his head a little, kissing her neck a few times before asking, "Be mine?" And pulling away to look at her.

Astrid's eyes were gleaming and she smiled. "I thought I already was yours?" She asked and leaned up I press a small kiss to the corner of his mouth.

"I...you...we...wait, what?"

Astrid laughed. "I was yours from the very first beginning. I thought you knew? We kept it an untold thing between us and everybody."

"What?"

"Hiccup..." She sighed and shook her head, smiling. "I'm yours. I've always been," She said and pulled back one of her hands, placing it on his cheek and caressing it.

"Oh, well, then, I'm glad that you're mine. Because, I wouldn't want anyone else in this whole wide world because you're more beautiful, smart and so much more talented then Freya herself," Hiccuo said dramatically.

"You're hopeless."

"I love you too, M'lady," He whispered and leaned down, pressing a small kiss to her temple. Astrid looked at him with a surprised face.

"What?" He asked and looked at her.

"Nothing, I just...I got surprised," She said and re-wrapped her arms. This time, around his waist.

Hiccup brought his hands up and wrapped them around her shoulders and neck. The blonde in his arms laid her head on his collar and closed her eyes, standing there in the late sunset.

Hiccup smiled. His eyes were closed too and his head was leaned down, his lips resting on her head.

"I love you, Astrid," He whispered into her hair. "I love you too, Hiccup. I have ever since the beginning and I always will," She said softly and tightened her grip around his waist, not wanting to let him to.

Ever.
