This Changes Everything...

It's Time

(A/N: TWO DAYS LEFT. THIS IS NOT PHOTOSHOP.)

He was checking all the locks on the cages in the stable like he was doing every night just to make sure do that the dragons wouldn't escape while they slept.

He stopped at Stormfly's cage and looked at her. The dragon raised her head and looked at him. He smiled and reached his hand into her cage, wanting to pet her. The Nadder happily walked up to the front of the cage and placed her snout in his hand.

Hiccup breathed out a laugh and petted her slowly for a while before looking down onto the floor and then up again. "Stormfly..." He started, hesitating. "I really want to tell Astrid how I feel about her."

Said dragon pulled back and turned her head towards the stable doors. Hiccup furrowed his brows before looking that way. He gazed back at Stormfly and she looked at him. He smiled and started walking to the stable doors.

Once reaching the doors, his smile widened slightly before he started walking towards her.

She was sitting at the edge of the landing area, looking at the sunset. Astrid heard the familiar clank of his prosthetic leg meeting the ground with every step he took and she wasn't faced by him sitting down beside her, - very close.

They didn't speak.

They just sat there, watching the sun set slowly. "It's been a long day..." Hiccup suddenly spoke up and gazed at her for a second before looking back at the sun.

"Yeah..."

He looked down before taking a deep break and scooting closer too her, making sure to nudge her arm.

Astrid looked at him with a weird face and placed her arm against his, pushing him away. He didn't move, he just looked at her with a weird face too.

Astrid pulled her arm back with a smile and placed her hand on her knee, laughing.

Hiccup moved back and smiled at her. Once she had settled down from her laughing, he looked down at her hand and took it softly, intertwining his fingers with hers.

Astrid looked at him, her eyes moving between his eyes and his lips, her cheeks a little red.

"You're so beautiful," Hiccup said and looked directly into her eyes.

Astrid's cheeks became redder and she looked away for a second before looking back at him. He twisted his body towards her a little and she did the same, she moved her hand, - the one he was holding - to the floor beside her and his shifted to laying his hand over hers.

They gazed each other in the eyes and smiled, leaning in slowly. Astrid's eyes drifted from his lips to his eyes before slowly closing.

Hiccup turned his head to the right s little to be able to kiss her better.

The kiss didn't last for long. Only a few seconds. But they lingered after pulling away. Their noses were still touching and they remained that way before pulling back completely.

Both knew what they felt. No words were needed.

However, this meant them becoming a thing. Things would for sure become more dangerous now but they had each other.

And their friends of course. Let's not forget about them.

However, this moment was just about the couple sitting at the edge of the landing area, watching the sunset.

That's the only thing that mattered.

It was perfect.

For now at least.
