The day had finally come to an end. So many things had happened in the last twenty-four hours. Or, well, in the last three days.

There had been a storm three days ago and a lightning bolt had struck the stables as Astrid was checking on the dragons to make sure they were calm and cozy for the night.

The stables had started to collapse, pieces of wood and poles holding up the stable doors had fallen, making the place a mess.

Every dragon had thankfully gotten out unharmed. However, Astrid, not so much.

Just as she was about to run out after rescuing a Night Terror, lightning had hit the entrance of the stables, right in front of her and due to the sudden flash, she had gone temporarily blind.

Everyone had been been both scared and confused to what happened and if it would go away.

However, Hiccup took the impact slightly harder then the rest. His best friend. Possibly blind for a lifetime? The best warrior and dragon rider he'd ever met, blind?

Still, he was there for her because she was terrified. She felt useless and even though Hiccup had told her that she was the one and only, Astrid Hofferson, the girl who was invincible, she had still denied it.

He was always there and he would always be there for her.

There will always be a Hiccup and Astrid.

Astrid smiled as she thought about it.

Sitting in the edge of the landing area at the stables, her legs were dangling over the ground far blow as her eyes looked at the sun reflecting in the water.

"There you are," Came a soft voice from behind. When if she already knew who it was, the clasp of metal and one boot hitting the wood gave it always even more.

Hiccup sat down beside her, putting his hands behind his back and leaning onto them, his gaze going from Astrid to the sun, back to Astrid and then back to the sun again.

She, to him, was his best friend. First human being that accepted him back when he was a nobody. First person that he could call, a friend. She

He didn't tell her but her beauty could even beat the most beautiful of sunsets. She was always there for him and he would always be there for her.

There will always be a Hiccup and Astrid.

He had actually said it. And, she hadn't protested when he had told her that as he held her hand.

If he had to be honest, he didn't say those stuff because he was simply a best friend for her. It was because he loved her.

And, he loves her too much to see her down. He understood how she felt. Sure, he had never understood how it felt to go blind but he had lost a foot. Those two things were almost the same.

In his world, she is his best friend, - and, even if he wants them to be more then that, he respects her choices and goes with them.

"Hmm," Astrid hummed and swayed slightly, her eyes closed and a small smile on her face. Hiccup sat up normally, moving his hands and placing them beside himself, his pinky grazing her two fingers.

Astrid looked down at their hands before pulling her hand out from under his own and turning it, opening her hand.

Hiccup looked at her hand before looking at her. She smiled at him and he raised his hand slightly, placing it onto Astrid's and closing his fingers in between hers.

She did the same and her thumb started caressing the back of his hand.

His eyes searched for anything in her eyes but all he saw was the beautiful blue color of them, the sunset and love.

Astrid breathed out a small laugh and she scooted closer to him.

Hiccup hesitated but pulled his hand away from hers even if he wanted to hold her hand. He slowly raised his arm and laid it over her back, his hand resting on her shoulder.

Astrid's smile widened a little and she gazed into his eyes.

It was like staring into a forest of beautiful greens, slightly yellows and browns.

Hiccup moved his head towards her slightly, his eyes drifting from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes.

Astrid exhaled and moved closer to him, placing her left hand on the floor, at his hips to support herself as she placed her other hand on his chest.

Leaning in, Hiccup smiled.

After such a long time of wanting to kiss her and to feel her close, he finally got to.

He made the move and dipped his head down, pressing his lips against hers in a swift motion. They pulled back only a few seconds later before Astrid kissed him, deeper this time.

They both smiled into the kiss before pulling away. She gazed into his eyes before she stared to laugh.

He laughed with her just because her laugh was the most contagious thing ever. "What are you laughing at, Astrid?" He asked after he stopped laughing.

"Your face after we pulled away...priceless!" She said, laughing even harder. He only smiled at her, shaking his head before pulling her against him tightly and pressing his lips against hers, fully.

"Mmpft-!"

Even though she stopped laughing, she was still smiling as he kissed her.

After pulling away, she just smiled at him before sitting upright and laying her head on his shoulder. Hiccup automatically birdied his nose into her hair and pulled her closer.

Words weren't needed for love.

They didn't need to say that they wanted to kiss each other. They didn't need to say those three words because they don't build on a relationship.

Words aren't the ones that build relationships. People, actions and a friendship is what the beginning is to every relationship.

Actions in friendship always mean more then what words do.
