Austin's P.O.V.

"If I died right now in your arms, I wouldn't mind" She said smiling ear to ear

"I mean you're always welcome to stay in my arms forever" I said lightly kissing her cheek

I heard her giggle when I said that and I swear it was music to my ears. It's felt like forever sense I've heard that beautiful laugh of hers. I was addicted to it and I didn't want it to be cured.

"Can I ask you something" Vanessa said

"Anything" I smiled at her

"Why didn't you call? I don't mean to sound clingy, but you just disappeared" she said

I sigh and slowly sat down on the edge of the bed with Vanessa still in my arms. Once I'm sitting, I sit Vanessa down on my lap. I still had one arm wrapped around her waist, with the other hand sitting on her thigh.

"I didn't mean to make it seem like that. I have just been busy with work. I was going to call you, but I got caught up with work. I wanted to apologize personally but..." I explained but didn't want to finish

"You went to my apartment and found Justin there" she finished for me

"Kim told you, didn't she?" I asked but sounded more like a statement

"Yes, but before you jump to conclusions let me answer all your questions. You can ask me any question you want and I'll be completely honest with you" She said playing with my fingers

"Any question?" I asked

She nodded

"I don't want to asked anything. I trust that you will tell me what I need to know. I won't jump to conclusions. I'll believe your explanation" I said as I push a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I'm just really close friends with Justin. I don't have a thing with him or anything. He does come over often, but we just talk. He's like my best friend. He's helped me a lot sense I moved to California. That is all" She said still playing with my fingers

"So no romance like the magazines say? What about all the times you went out together?" I asked.

I know I said I wouldn't ask, but I just needed to know why they spent so much time together.  

"Our break up was not exactly easy for me. Justin always tried to cheer me up. When I would get upset he would take me out to make me forget. He was just being a good friend. None of the things the media said are true. We are just close friends" she explained

"Our break up was hard on you? Why did you do it than?" I said

"I had to" she said getting off my lap and stood in front of me with her back towards me

"No you didn't" I said

"You don't understand" she said coldly

"Then help me understand! Cause one minute you tell me we can't be together, then the next you kiss me! I'm trying to do what you're asking, but I don't exactly get what you want. You need to tell me what it is that you feel!" I said frustrated
