The Boys Visit

Vanessa's P.O.V.

Austin and I have been watching The Hang Over for only about 15 minutes, before the door bell rang. Austin untangled our fingers as he got up. I stood up after him and we walk down stairs together. Austin opens the door, revealing Alex and Robert behind it.

"Ayy, Man!" Says Robert

Robert hugs Austin and Alex does the same after.

"Look who we have here? It's the little cutie!" Robert says walking towards me with his arms wide open, ready to wrap me in a hug.

"Nice to see you Robert, it's been awhile" I say hugging him.

I haven't seen the boys in actual person for like 3 months. The only time I actually talk to them is when I FaceTime with Austin. I text Robert sometimes, but its usually when I have a surprise for Austin and Robert is helping me out. Robert isn't just Austin's best friend but also Luis. That's why he's the one I'm most closest too. Bottom line, all the boys are lovely. They don't ever make me feel I'm intruding something or left out.

"Hey Vanessa" I hear Alex say as I let go of Robert.

"Hey Alex!" I say hugging him.

"How've you been?" He asked pulling away

"Great, what about you?" I asked

"I'm doing good" He said

"Do you guys want something to eat or drink" I ask

"Some fruit punch would be nice" Robert said patting his stomach.

"Same old Robert" I hear Austin chuckle

"Okay, well you guys can go and head on out. I'll help Carmen bring out the drinks" I say

"No, Your coming with us. Don't worry, Carmen can handle the drinks on her own" Austin says as he pushes me onto him

I lightly hug Austin's arm as we walk to the backyard. We all take a seat on the patio furniture that was outside. I take my seat and Austin sits right next to me. Alex and Robert sit across from us.

"So where is Zach" Austin asked

"He said he was busy when we asked if he wanted to come" Robert explained

"Hum.. I wonder what's up with him" Austin says laying back and resting his arms on my shoulder.

I notice Alex hasn't even talk sense he said hello to me. It looks like he's zoned out, like we're not even here with him. He just has a blank facial expression. I can't tell if he's sad or mad. I softly hit Austin with my elbow.

"Is it me or is Alex acting weird" I whisper to Austin

Austin turns to look at Alex and the minute he does that so does Robert.

"He's been like that ever sense we left the mall, he's been singing love songs" Robert says confused

"Alex!" I yell

"Huh" Alex says startled

"What's up with you kid? Why so out of this world?" I say.

"Sorry, it's just that I think I'm in love" he says like a complete idiot with the head in the palm of his hands

"In Love!? With Who?!" We all say in unison

"With the girl from the mall" Alex said smiling

"What girl Alex?" Austin asked

"The girl who was buying ice cream at the food court" He said

"Do you know her Alex? Did you talk to her?" I ask.

"No, I didn't" Alex he said upset.

"Well what does she look like?" I ask

"She has long straight dark brown hair. She was wearing jean shorts with a flowery top. She had sunglasses on, but when she took them off she had to most beautiful dark brown eyes I've ever seen. But most importantly she's kindhearted" Alex explained as if he was telling us a fairytale.

"That's sounds like... Vanessa?" Roberts says.

Indeed it did, I had straighten my hair today. I was wearing dark Jean shorts with a flowery blouse. But I hadn't gone out all day.

"No. It's not Vanessa" Alex says

"Alex how do you know she's kindhearted if you don't know her?" I asked

"I saw it when she was buying the ice cream" he said

"How does that show she's kind?" Austin asked

"She wasn't buying it for her. She was buying it for a little boy who was crying that he wanted one. I don't think she knew the little boy. After she bought him ice cream he went running happy to his mom" Alex explained

"That sounds nice Alex but I think you should've talked to her" I say playing with Austin's fingers

"I know. I was just too scared" Alex confessed

"What a wimp" Austin whispered

"Austin!" I yelled whispered back

"Like you weren't scared that Vanessa didn't like you" Alex said laughing

"What are you talking about, I had that situation totally under control" Austin said calmly

"Did you now Austin? Cause all I remember hearing is 'No Alex she doesn't like me! I tried everything but she just turns around! She hates me!' Is pretty much it" Alex mocked Austin

"Okay so maybe I'm a wimp when it comes to Vanessa" Austin says putting his hands up in defense

"Boy, you are more then a wimp" Robert says laughing

"Excuse me" Austin says annoyed

"Come on. The girl basically runs you. Whatever it is she wants, that's how you'll do it" Robert shrugs

"Is that how you really think Rob?" I say a little hurt. I mean I never really thought about it that way. I didn't think I control Austin. I didn't want everybody else thinking I did either. Was I really that controlling with Austin?

"No Vanessa. I was just saying that to mess with him. He's making fun of Alex when he's totally in love with you. It was a way to shut him up. I didn't mean it like I sounded?" Robert says scratching the back of his neck

"Oh" was all I could say

"Nice going you dick" Austin said hitting Robert on the shoulder

"No, it's okay. Maybe I am a little controlling with you. Maybe we need to be more distant" I say as I take Austin's arm away from me.

"No Vanessa I was just kidding. I didn't mean it like that" Robert said shaking his head no.

"No Robert its not you . It's just true . Maybe we are together all the time . Maybe Austin needs to have some alone time" I say standing up

I'm instantly pulled down the minute I get up. I land right on Austin's lap, as he snakes his arms around my stomach.

"What alone time? If I wanted alone time, I wouldn't be in a relationship. We don't even spend a lot of time together? Now that we went public we are beginning to spend a lot of more time together. Other wise we would still be talking on the phone. Now, I don't want to hear any more that we need to stop spending time together. Cause I'm all honesty I love spending time with you" Austin says smiling the whole time

"I love spending time with you too" I say smiling too

"Then don't give me alone time. Give me Vanessa time" Austin says holding me tighter

I kiss him lightly on the cheek.

"That's what I'm talking about. You see that guys? That's love" Austin says pointing at us

"Yeah. Yeah. Whatever" Robert says

"What's taking Carmen so long? I'm going to see what's up" I tell Austin

"No! You stay here. I'll see what's going on" Austin says picking me up from his lap.

I watch Austin walk away into the house.
