"Lani, may I talk to you." Maribeth is standing at the entrance of my door.
"Um, yeah sure. I'll call you back." I say the last part to Abel on the phone, before hanging up.
I get up off of my bed following Maribeth into the living room. Sitting on the couch, I criss cross my legs, "what's up?"
"Well, I have a seminar to go to."
"Really that's great, where?"
"I'm going to Stanford, so California."
I frown, "That's really far away from Florida. How long will you be gone for?"
"I'm leaving tomorrow and should be back by either Saturday night or Sunday morning. So I'm going to need you to be very careful, and I asked Bryce's mother if it was okay for him to stay here with you and she said it was fine."
I smile widely, "Yay--"
"Before you get any ideas here are the rules."
I groan slightly.
"No throwing any parties, don't have anyone over other than Bryce, if you are going to a party text me when you get back home. And please please please don't trash the house."
Oh those are simple rules, at least she said I could go to a party. I mean I would've gone regardless but now I won't have to worry.
"Okay, that's easy."

"This week is going to be full of fun. We need to go to the store and get food, maybe stop by the toy store--"
I stop Bryce, "Toy store?"
"Yes, a toy store. Have you ever been to Toys R Us, that store is heaven."
"Hm, okay what else."
"We need to rent movies from red box, and have a date night. We could invite Tommy and Abel."
"That doesn't sound too bad, we should invite Neal too."
"Um, no girl. He knows Mr. Tesfaye."
I facepalm myself, "Oh yeah. Crap, I feel bad for leaving him out on stuff."
"We aren't leaving him out, we can ask him if he wants to come over or he can sleep over for a couple of days."
I smile, "Yeah that sounds good, let's go find him."
Neal wasn't outside, so we went to the library. When we got there we see him sitting down typing something on his laptop. I sit next to him and Bryce sits across from us.
"Wacha typing?" I ask as I out my arm on his shoulder and put my head on my arm.
"Some report for English."
"Hm, sounds fun. Any who we have a question to ask you." I say.
"What is it, Its not a party is it?"
"Nah, actually the opposite." Bryce says, "Lani's mom is going to be out of the state for a couple of days and I'm staying with her. And we thought that it would only be right if we had you to join us. You could sleep over or if you aren't comfortable with that you could just come and hang out with us."
"So what do you say, will you join us in a week full of adventure?"
Neal thinks for a second before smiling widely, "yeah why not."
"So that's a yes to?"
Bryce raises an eyebrow.
"That's a yes to coming over and hanging out. I'm not sure my parents would like the idea of me sleeping over a girls house for a couple of days."
