*When I'm f*cked up,
That's the real me."Delani's P.O.V
I did a real good, job of avoiding Bryce this week.
Which has been hard, since we have every class together.
But I managed.
When he came over to my house, the day of the argument I told, Maribeth tell him that I was hanging out with Lucas.
Which is what I'm doing right now.
"NO!" I cry. "You can't do that we're on the same team."
Lucas shrugs, "Too bad, you were in my way. So you got killed."
I groan, "Oooo just wait until I find you. I'm going to stab in the neck with my knife."
I don't even care, if I'm running pass all the opponents and getting killed, I'm just trying to find Lucas.
I finally, catch up to Lucas, while he's turned around I stab him in his neck.
"Yes!" I jump up dropping the controller. "In your face."
"Oh, sure in my face. But I have more kills than you."
"Don't care," I say as I start to do a happy dance. "Yeah, uh-huh. Delani is the champion of call of duty." I say loudly and jump on the couch.
"So, childish." He mumbles, shaking his head.
"Let's go to Culver's." I suggest jumping down.
"Kay, but I'm paying."
I shrug, "The champion doesn't pay anyways. I'm going to put on some actually pants." I say looking down, at my pajama shorts.
He mumbles a whatever as he starts to play another round.
Walking into my room, I start to sing "we are the champions," but I replace 'we are' with 'i am'. Because I am actually.
I go into my closet, and when I turn around I scream.
"Oh my god, Bryce." I say and put my hand on my chest.
Bryce is laying down on my bed.
"What happened?" Lucas says running into the room.
"Bryce scared the crap out of me. What are you doing here?" I ask him while glaring.
"And that's my cue, to leave. I'll be in the front." Lucas says and closes my door.
"You've been ignoring me," he says sitting up.
"Yeah, that's what happens when your mad at someone. You ignore them."
"Lani, you have to realize that I did it to help you."
I scoff, "Well, thanks for the help."
Before, he speaks I interrupt him.
"You, know I actually thought I could trust. You were suppose to be my best friend."
His eyes widen, and I feel a little guilt in my heart.
"I am your best friend. Always will be." I hear his voice crack.
"Best friends, don't tell their best friend's secrets."
"Okay, I'm sorry. But I don't regret it, Abel should know. Why are you so against him knowing, and don't say it's because, you're afraid that he'll leave you because, we both know that's not going to happen."
