After yesterday's revelation, Xiongzhang and I planned, of course with Wuxian beside us giving us more idea on what to do next. I even suggested to not to announce their engagement and just focus on strengthening the bond of the two sect secretly. While Da-ge also talked with sect leader Nie, his bestfriend, about strengthening the bond of the Lans and Nies.

Now, I am in the lecture hall, listening to uncle's boring lecture.

No one answered, probably scared of what I would do.

" So, then, I'll be going." I said and walked away. After a while I notice someone else following me.

" What do you want Jin Zixun." I said as I saw the person who is following me.

" Why are you always minding my business? Can't you just leave me and let me treat a servant like how I please?" He said angrily.

" Well, Jin Zixun, this is Cloud Recesses and not your territory. If you can do whatever you like in Jinlintai, then do it there. Us Lans value equality. Moreover, Meng Yao is not your servant he is a trusted man of Sect Leader Nie. Do you want to be in trouble with The Nie sect because you disrespected a trusted man of the Sect Leader. What would your uncle think? You creating trouble for your sect?" I said with a straight face and taunting voice.

" My Uncle would be happy that I put that prostitute's son in his proper place." He responded proudly.

" He will be unless, if you get trouble and we call Madam Jin instead. How would you explain to her that Meng Yao is an illegitimate son of Sect Leader Jin? Wouldn't sect Leader Jin be in trouble with his wife thus being angry at you for reveling it?" I said keeping the same face and voice.

He seems speechless and left without saying a word.

As I continue walking, I spotted Jiang Yanli, sitting sadly near the garden.

" Shijie." I called out softly.

" Yanyan you're here." She said smiling, but I can still see the sadness in her eyes.

" Jie, what's wrong? You seems sad, and please don't lie to me." I said to her.

" I am just sad for my baby brother, I don't have anything against your clan, but why does he has to suffer the same faith as me." She said with a tear running down her cheek.

" I know it seems unfair right Shijie? Both you and Wuxian are marrying into a sect for alliance. But I guess you have to talk it out with Wuxian about this. I know your worries will be lessen if you talk with him. And to ease your concern more, I'm actually the one who suggested their union. In one of my vision, I saw them married and have a kid, which became the new sect Leaders of the Lan sect." I said to her honestly. " You have visions?" She asked.

" My son is a Jin? But is he born without love? Like a-Cheng and I? Born out of duty?" She asked.

" Well that I didn't see." I lied. " Maybe Jie, know your worth. If Jin the peacock doesn't love your amazing self then don't mind him. If he talk bad about you ask him to cut the engagement. You have the Lan sect in your side, so you don't need the Jin's. Don't force yourself on someone who make you feel useless. You are worth more than that. And if your mother is angry, you can use our sect name for your safety, I know Wuxian and Jiang Cheng will be happy if you free yourself from that idiot." I said. I know Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli are the endgame in the original, but I want the peacock can learn his lesson.

" Thank you Yanyan." She said and hold my hands. " I've been feeling worthless and low because of what people talk about me, specially knowing I don't wield sword. I'm weak and sickly, but your words just encourage me to do better." She told me.

" Well to be fair I also don't have a core. Everything that happens just has its own reason and purpose. Now that you mentioned swords, when I was on the streets, I heard this Fan cultivation thing. " So I must go and asked uncle about this information hope he could help us." I said and bid farewell to Yanli, leaving her and going directly to uncle.
