Chapter 3

Alice looked out the window of her bungalow. There was no one outside. She slowly walked out the door. She began to walk down the street. It was a nice day outside.
"Hey!" Owen ran up to her out of nowhere. Alice screamed and fell to the ground.
"What...where did you come from?" Alice looked up at him.
"You're easily scared," Owen pulled her up. She brushed herself off before walking away from him. Owen jogged back to her.
"Look, I have an appointment with some dinosaurs to check they are okay, leave me alone," Alice turned so she faced him.
"Well it's my dinosaurs that are having the appointment," Owen smiled. Alice sighed before she carried on waking with Owen next to her.
"I have a feeling you don't like me," Owen said.
"Well you must be really smart," Alice said with a sarcastic tone. Owens smile faded.
"You're mean," he said.
"Only to people that annoy me," she smirked. A few minutes later and they were in the clinic. Alice checked all four of the raptors out.
"They're fine," Alice said. Owen sighed.
"Thanks," he said. Owen helped the people get the raptors back in the van to be taken back to their paddock. Alice and Owen were about to leave when suddenly workers rushed in holding a baby triceratops.
"She swallowed a can!" They placed her onto the table. Alice grabbed her stethoscope and listened to her.
"It's blocking her airway!" Alice yelled. She grabbed a tube and pushed it into her neck. Alice reached into the mouth of the triceratops. Owen watched amazed at how fast snd confident Alice worked. She pulled s can out and the baby coughed. Alice washed her hands and finished her work on the baby. Alice and Owen walked out of the building.
"Wow that was amazing!" Owen exclaimed.
"Thank you," Alice said. Suddenly Zara and Vivian walked up to them.
"Oh hello Owen," Zara smirked at Alice.
"Hey," Owen said.
"Alice you coming for lunch?" Vivian asked. Alice nodded.
"Want to join us Owen?" Vivian giggled.
"No I've got to go train my girls," Owen said goodbye and left. The three girls left and sat down at a table.
"What were you doing with Owen?" Zara and Vivian giggled.
"I was helping his raptors," Alice rolled her eyes.
"Sure," Zara teased.
"Oh my gosh! Shut up!"Alice laughed. The girls ate their lunch and went back to work. Alice went to the plains and walked around.
"Are you stalking me?" Alice looked at Owen.
"No, I was just going for a stroll," Owen said.
"Ok well watch out for the big ones they might squash you," Alice said.
"Show me your favorite dinosaur in the plains," Owen said. Alice smiled.
"Follow me," she said running. Owen ran after her. Alice carefully approached the massive apatosaurus.
"Hey girl," she spoke with a soothing voice. The dinosaur brought its head down so it was level with them. Alice stroked the apatosaurus. Owen stood next to her.
"It's ok, Patty is old she won't try anything," Alice said. Owen hovered his hand over the apatosaurus nervously. Alice rolled her eyes before grabbing his hand and placing it on Patty. He smiled nervously at her.

"I can't believe you were afraid to touch and apatosaurus yet you work with raptors," Alice said as they walked back to the workers village.
"Well she was huge," Owen defended hisself.
"Ok chicken," Alice laughed.
"Hey I got you to spend almost an entire day with me," Owen smiled.
"Yeah I guess you did," Alice said.
"See it wasn't that bad, I'm a nice guy," Owen smirked.
"It was okay," Alice walked to her front door.
"Aw come one you had fun admit it!" Owen called from his drive.
"Nope!" Alice smiled and closed her door.
