Chapter 11

It had been a month since Alice left Owen. He was still not over her, and Alice,though she hid it well, was not over him either. She sighed. She had tried to avoid Owen at all costs,but today she had to check out a new dinosaur with him. Alice waited in the helicopter with Claire.
"He's late," Claire tapped her toes.
"What a surprise," Alice muttered. Alice turned her face from Claire. She hated her now. A few minutes later Owen hopped in next to Alice. She payed no attention to him. Owen went to talk to her but the look on her face told him to stop. They rode to the new exhibit in silence. As soon as they landed Alice walked out the helicopter and towards the exhibit. Owen and Claire went after her.
"What is it?" Alice said looking in the glass.
"We call her the indominous Rex," Claire tapped the glass. Alice looked into the trees trying to see the dinosaur.
"Where is she?" Alice squinted her eyes.
"Were these claw marks always here?" Owen said looking at the wall. Claire's eyes widened. She scanned the whole paddock. There was no sign of the dinosaur.
" I can track her from the control room!" Claire ran to her car. Alice stared in horror at the wall. Alice opened the door and stepped into the paddock. Owen held onto her arm stopping her from moving.
"Are you crazy, it might be in there even if we couldn't find it," Owen said.
"Since when did you care about me," Alice shoved him off her and stepped into the paddock.
