Chapter 18

"Go!" A man released the raptors. Alice and Owen led the group of soldiers next to the raptors. Suddenly they began to slow down. Owen held up his hand. Alice watched nervously. Owen got of his bike and Alice did the same. They crouched down. The qindominous Rex came out of the bushes.
"Something's wrong," Alice whispered.
"They're communicating," Owen stated.
"Fire!" One soldier yelled. Then everything broke into chaos. The raptors began attacking them. The indominous ran into the bushes. Owen pulled Alice along. He came to a fast stop when he saw Charlie in front of them.
"It's me girl," Owen held his hand up. Charlie chirped and tilted her head. Then out of nowhere something exploded killing Charlie and throwing Alice and Owen back. They stood up and groaned.
"Owen go back and get Vivian and Zara with the boys to safety!" Alice ordered.
"I won't leave you!" Owen said.
"I'll be fine," Alice kissed him. Owen hesitated before running to his bike. Alice carefully walked around. Everyone was either dead or ran away now. She couldn't see any raptors. She decided to go back and find Zara and Vivian.

"I'm going to get help,take the boys somewhere safer," Zara got out the car. Zara started to walk down the road.

Alice stopped when she saw blood. She ran to the source and found a body. Zara.
"Zara!" Alice ran to her. She saw a massive cut on her chest.
"Alice go she might come back," Zara tried to push Alice away.
"No! What did this?" Alice asked.
"The indominous," Zara whispered. Alice had tears in her eyes. She tried to stop the blood but there was so much.
"Ok..ummm..take my jacket," Alice took her jacket off and tied it around Zara. The blood spread all over it.
"Alice stop," Zara whispered. Alice stared at all the blood that was on her and Zara. Alice was shaking.
"So we Judy get you to Owen and he'll be able to help, he was in the Navy maybe he's seen this before," Alice ignored Zara. Alice grabbed Zaras arms and began to drag her. Alice kept stumbling but would keep getting back up.
"Alice," Zara said weakly.
"No it's going to be ok," Alice carried on dragging her. She was almost at the place where she knew Owen would go. Suddenly Alice fell onto her butt. She sat on the ground.
"You don't have to do this," Zara whispered.
"YES I DO! you're my best friend and you're going to die if I don't help you! So no I'm not going to stop because you have to live!" Alice cried. Zara fell silent. Alice stood up again and began to drag her.
"You're not dying," Alice muttered. She was getting tired. She had so many cuts and had lost a lot of blood as well,but she couldn't stop. Then Alice collapsed to the ground.
"You can't go any further can you?" Zara asked. Alice slowly shook her head.
"I'm sorry," Alice cried.
"Am I dying now?" Zara had tears going down her face now. Alice took a deep breathe.
"Yes Zara you are dying," Alice said.
"Ok," Zara whimpered.
"Can you marry Owen?" Zara said.
"If he wants to I will," Alice smiled.
"He will," Zara said.
"Ok," Alice whispered.
"Don't leave me until I'm dead," Zara cried.
"I won't I promise," Alice promised.
"Thank y-" Zara stopped talking. There was no heart beat.
"Zara? No!" Alice screamed. She lay on Zara and cried. She slowly closed Zaras eyes.
"I'll come back for you," Alice whispered.
