Waylon POV
"Hey Lilith, how much memories have you gotten out yet?" I asked, after awakening in the large blank room again.
Me and my squad had made it to the meet up point, and set up camp since we were the first squad to make it there. When I had fallen asleep, I was pulled here by Lilith for some reason.
Lilith sat cross legged in the white plains and looked over at me with a frown. "I can't open up most of your memories because it seems something is blocking it." She said.
"Blocking it?" I asked.
"Yeah, like a drainage pipe being blocked with moss or leaves. There's something in the way, and I need more power to move it." She said, beginning to grin a bit.
She clapped her hands together. "How about this? Can I have some blood in order to do so?" She asked with a cutesy voice.
I sighed. "I'm not falling for that." I said plainly.
"Rest assured. I'm just as curious as you are about your memories. I will not try to take over, I promise." She said with a calm smile.
I bite my lip. "Why are you curious?" I asked.
She grinned greatly, the smile spreading across her whole face, her teeth hanging out. "Your just too interesting. It's amusing to see you so clueless on your own genetics and past." She explained.
It made me a bit angry that she found my suffering amusing, but she was a demon of greed and wrath, so she wants to know everything, that would be greed eating at her curiosity.
It was eating at me too.
"If I let you drink some... if your lying, promise not to hurt my friends at least." I said, staring at Lilith in the eyes as I walked up to her and sat next to her.
She looked excited, watching me as I pull my sleeve up and put it out for her to drink. She slowly grabbed my hand, treating it with care I didn't expect. She looked sideways at me as she asked, "are you ready?"
I nodded, and she bit into my arm, sending me spiraling into somewhere unknown.
Claire POV
The three nobles talked around a table about their plans for the city we were located in. They were in charge of all the vampires in the area, but not me and Allan, and our other partner that was supposed to be getting here soon.
Apparently our other partner was a young man that worked under mostly the queen herself, like me. Maybe I'll actually get along with this person unlike my other partner that seems to be feasting the entire time we're here.
What a simpleton.
I sit on a veranda, sipping some blood I had brought with me from the city. The others keep asking me why I do not drink from the core, but I do not want to sully my hands with meaningless bloodshed.
Heh, I say that yet I'm a vampire.
I guess I am weird in vampire standards.
I feel someone come up behind and I glance to my side. It was boy, about the same age as me, wearing vampire clothing. His blonde hair and blue eyes were different from the rest of anyone else I'd seen before.
"Are you Claire Dietrich?" He asked, looking over at while leaning on the veranda railing next to me.
I frown. "Who's asking?"
"My name is Mikael. I'll be working with you from now on." He said with a blank face.
Isn't this the guy the queen mentioned from the message we attained? He didn't look like much, but I had heard he was a human once. What made him want to become a vampire?
Well it's not like it's any of my business. I look back at the starry night sky and sigh. "Same to you."
Mikael nodded, then took out a vial of blood and drank it, he took a deep breath and turned back to walk inside. I'm sure he hasn't drank from a real human yet either. If I were fully human... then I would never like the though of drinking someone's else's blood.
I look below me and see some prisoner humans being used as happy meals once again. Allan, who just finished with a young girl, looks up at me with a smirk.
What a disgusting jerk.
I pull my eyes away from the sight and take a deep breath. Maybe I should lay down a bit, it might make me feel a bit better. I found a couch and put a pillow for a head rest, or curled up with a blanket over me and closed my eyes.
It's funny really. Vampires can't sleep, but since I'm half, I can. I don't need to, but sometimes it's nice to have dreams. That is the one thing I share as half.
I can dream wonderful things.
I smile with my eyes closed and snuggle the pillow more, so comfortable...
I hear a knock on the door and I get up, a bit disappointed to find my nap was interrupted. Outside the door was Allan, he waved at me through the looking hole.
"What do you want?" I asked, keeping my voice of hatred towards him.
Allan smiled. "Just wanted to see if your doing alright, can i come in?" He asked politely.
I sigh and unlock the door, but just as it opens, Allan grabbed me and pushed me against the wall.
"What is the meaning of this?" I said, getting ready to kick him in the nuts.
Allan smirked. "I just wanted to have some alone time... we're engaged after all." He said.
He licked my neck, but I ignored it, not moving an inch. This man was horrible.
"Get away, or I'll skewer your balls off and throw them in the trash." I warned, making him back off.
His grin didn't falter. "I was just having some fun."
"I'm pretty sure we all know what you were going to do, Allan." Said a voice from the doorway.
A tall and muscular vampire with broad shoulders. He has dark red bangs and thick eyebrows, while the rest of his hair is dark brown. His long hair kept in a braid that comes over his shoulder on the left side of his neck. He has a single piercing in either ear.
Allan jumped back a bit. "Crowley, sir, how nice to see you!" He played innocent.
Crowley chuckled. "Doing something like that is unacceptable, isn't it, Allan Greyhorn?" He said in a warning yet cheerful voice.
"Yes sir." Allan replied.
Crowley looked over at me for a second, then walked back into the hall. No one told me Crowley was going to be here! That means Ferid must be too.
More creeps. Great.
