Pillars of Salt

Shinoa POV

The sight before me made my body shiver in fear. White pillars formed, covering vampires and humans alike in its wake. Above the pillars, was Yu.

Or what I think was Yu. His eyes were black, his blank face glared over at the enemies that were trying to hurt him. He made a scoffing face, then raised his hand.

"Humans are disgusting." He said, his voice seemed to echo somehow, as if ringing in my head.

Some soldiers took a rocket launcher, and started to aim it at him. He clenched his hand, making a wave of salt cover them, and as it passed, all that was left of the soldiers was their clothes.

"Humans shall go back to being what they were." He said, looking over at us. Wait, was he going to attack us too?! I turn and quickly told everyone to run.

Kimizuki seemed reluctant to leave, still staring past Yu and over at his sister, who was still murdering the rest of the Moon Demon Company.

I grit my teeth and grabbed him, pulling him along behind a giant piece of concrete that had emerged from the cement. Another wave of an earthquake, and we peered over the rock.

A giant black figure was bursting from Kimizuki's sister. Right now, I have no idea what's going on. All I know it that my choices right now are to leave Yu and run with the others, or try and get him out also.

There was no option of fighting that thing.

Beside me Mitsuba let's out a small laugh. "Well this went from bad to worse." She joked half heartily.

Yoichi let out a nervous laugh also. This didn't seem like a very good situation to be laughing in. But I can't argue that this situation seems way too nuts, so a laugh could be appreciated.

I glance over the rock and see that Yu wasn't paying attention to us now, but attacking the military and the giant monster.

"You humans who dare reach into the forbidden... May you become as you were, pillars of salt." Yu said, as he made a gigantic piece of salt smash into a helicopter.

I grit my teeth. "Alright everyone, were getting Yu out of here!" I yelled to the others.

Waylon POV

I dropped Lilith's sister with disinterest and stared over at Yu. Was he going berserk again? I remember the last time that happened and I shiver.

I holster both my guns and look over where the others should be. I have to either make it to them, or make Yu calm down...

Suddenly bullets graze near my feet, making me get into cover. I glance over the pillar to see soldiers aiming guns at me. They know I'm part of the Moon Demon Company.

If I can make it to a helicopter, I could steal it. I've read up on how to fly them, but I haven't had any experience. Probably a bad idea.

More shouting and such catch my attention, and I glance over in another direction. There, is another group of vampires. Among them, is Guren.

I blink, not able to grasp what he's doing with them. But I run out of cover, sprinting towards him. Behind me, I hear Krul grunting in displeasure of the damage I did.

I can't pay attention to her right now! I get into earshot of Guren and yell. "Guren! We need to get outta here!"

Guren stopped and looked over at me with a blank look. As I'm heading closer, about a few yards away, Lilith calls out in my head once more.

Waylon! Stop, don't get near him! She yelled in a panic.

I stopped in my tracks just as Guren drew his blade, and walked closer to me with a smirk. What the hell is up with him. His eyes were empty, as if he was a puppet with no soul.
