Waylon POV
Sitting in the tower with Yoichi and Shinya Hiragi. It was my first time meeting him, but with his name having the Hiragi in it, I don't trust him.
I could trust Shinoa, because she doesn't seem to care much about her family name, but I don't know about this Shinya guy. With me and Yoichi, us three were sent for the sniper squad, to see if we could take him down, Lucal Wesker.
The tower we're in was pretty tall, but a noble could notice us if we missed the first shots.
"Get ready you two." Shinya said, his grin still on his face. I swear I never see it leave him.
Yoichi nods and readies his bow, I take out my two pistols and lean my side against a rail, getting my steady aim. Around my eye, a scope appears that follows my eyesight, another perk Lilith gives me for long range.
I zoom down to the target, who is strolling through the park at the moment. "Ready." I said into the radio, telling the others the sniper team was ready to go.
"Shoot." Said the receiver.
"Fire." I repeat the command and all three of us let out a shot. A flaming tiger lies from Shinya's rifle, and out of Yoichi's bow a large black and green arrow.
I fire both my pistols, each sending out a flaming bullet, traveling several times faster than the others shots.
Down below, I'm able to see the noble being alerted, then the place going up in smoke from our shots.
"Did we get him?" Yoichi wondered aloud.
There was a brief silence, then Lilith screams out into my head. "Jump! He's going to attack!" She screamed.
"Jump!" I yelled, throwing myself over the railing and landing on the rope we had set up, I shimmy down it just as the others crawl down with me.
A slice flies through the air and cuts through the whole tower, sending glass and shards of metal everywhere.
"Snipers failed, move in ground unit!" Shinya yelled into his radio.
"Hang on!" I said, about two stories from the ground I could see the rope ripping, and just as I said this it did.
All three of us fall into a heap, Yoichi landing on my stomach and knocking the air out of me, and Shinya landing on his face with a loud smack.
"S-Sorry!" Yoichi said, helping and patting my back as I coughed from lack of air.
I wave him off and head over to an area where I can see the others moving in on the noble.
I can see Yu and the rest moving in with Narumi' squad. I turn back to the others. "I'm going to provide back up!" I called over.
Shinya was about to agree, but his face became alarmed and pointed behind me. "Watch out!" He yelled a warning.
I quickly pull one of my guns out just in time to block a blade from slashing me. Just a normal one, no problem. But behind him more came into view, and Yoichi started to shoot at them.
Shinya followed his example as they both fired as I moved in for closer quarters combat. The others would have to wait! I push the vampire off my blades and shoot him in the face, turning him to ash.
I quickly run forward and slash another two, just in time to see the rest fall around me from the others shooting. A small force that was probably scouting and making sure it was clear.
It was a good thing we took them out or else they would've alarmed the rest of the nobles.
Yoichi sighs in relief. "Thank god." He muttered.
I put away my guns and smile, thank god indeed. Judging by the sounds of fighting stopping in the distance, the noble was defeated, if the noble ended up winning he would've came over here already to take out the people that were shooting at him.
I help Yoichi up and walk back to the group, who were waiting and catching their breath. Yu looked pleased, him and Kimizuki both bragging and getting into each others faces like usual.
"Who took it out?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips.
Shinoa grinned. "Yu. But he had Kimizuki' help." She explained.
"Hmm." I mumbled, watching the two argue as the Narumi Squad watched with blank faces.
Narumi himself let out a sigh. I raise an eyebrow and walk up to him, putting my hands in my pockets.
"So, for kids we're pretty good, right?" I asked, still keeping a blank face. Narumi frowned at this and looked back at the others, all arguing and laughing at Yu and Kimizuki.
He huffed and turned around. "Team work needs some tweaking... let's get going, before more scouts come." He called out to everyone.
I look out in the distance and see something. Like a black dot in the sky...
A helicopter?
Claire POV
Inside the metal vehicle, the sound of the blades turning at top speeds outside going through the walls some. Mika sat beside me, both of us strapped in in our seats.
"Helicopters give you motion sickness?" Mika asked, tilting his head a bit, glancing over at me.
I let a small smile show. "N-No, just nervous is all." I mumbled.
Mika nodded, as if agreeing with this. When we get there, we both said we'd look for his family, Yu. Mika was my friend, one of the only ones I had, so I'd help him out. Plus he kept Allan off of me for awhile now.
Speaking of insects, Allan is across from us, staring out the window with a look of disgust. Whatever is going through that morons mind, it can't be good.
Last time I mentioned Waylon near him, he flipped out. Why was he so obsessed with him? Because he hurt his pride? What a child. I like mature men, plus ones that know how to protect a woman.
That's why I hate Allan, he's the exact opposite of my tastes, and he treats everyone like dirt, even the queen behind her back. Thinking your above everyone else is selfish.
But... when we touch down, will I be able to see Waylon again? I look down at my hands and notice something.
If I think about it, Waylon is exactly the opposite of Allan... he's not selfish, he's strong, and he protected me, treated others as his equals, even me...
I hold my chest. No, I barely know him... he's just a friend.
Right?
