Waylon POV
Where am I?
The room wasn't that of where I see Lilith, but a giant hall, filled with great architecture and such. It looked gothic designed.
I look around, every time I moves my head to see something else, my eye sight would blur, as if in a really scrappy camera lenses.
I stop when I see someone I think I recognize, it seemed to be a woman of course, seeing her body and face. She looked happy, while holding a child's hand.
The child had black hair and bright blue eyes. The woman and him stopped at the edge of a sewer pipe, and she whispered something into the young boys ear, but I can't seem to remember.
That little boy, had to be me... then was that woman, my mother?
I take a step closer to get a better look, but the woman's face was mostly blurred, but after they were done talking, the lady took out a syringe, the boy flinched at the sight of it.
"This is for you." The woman said to the little version of me.
The boy nodded bravely, taking the syringe and putting in his pocket, making sure the cap was on it. The woman smiled and kissed the boy on the forehead, I could hear yelling from down the other side of the hallway.
Vampiric guards?
"There they are, kill the abomination!" Said one, they all charged at the lady, but she grabbed two of their blades, and snapped them each in half, using the sharp ends she was still holding and plunging them into the vampires.
She looked back at the boy. "Run!"
The smaller version hesitated at first, then turned and ran, holding the syringe close to his chest, making sure he didn't drop it.
I followed the boy, or the vision took me beside him. I could hear screams and grunts back down the hallway, until finally I heard a death scream coming from a woman's voice.
The boy was reading up, but he kept running, all the way until he was outside, and trudging into the city.
The vision started to blur, and the last glimpse I got of the younger me was collapsing in the middle of a city block.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I opened my eyes slowly, the campfire was still going. I got up and felt something warm running down my face, I wipe it off and find tears on my hand?
Why was I crying?
I shake my head and find everyone fast asleep, except Tsuhiko who was sitting on a fallen lamppost. I walked up to her and sat next to her, she glanced over at me, then back at the city.
"Tomorrow we'll be doing the next operation." She said.
I nodded and looked at the ground. The dream was messing with me a bit too much. I'll talk to Lilith about it later. And what about that syringe? They didn't say anything about me having a syringe with me.
I scoot a bit closer to Tsuhiko and lean on her shoulder, making her squirm. "I told you not to be so cuddly while on duty!" She said with a flustered face.
I grin. "What, I never heard anything like that~!" I said, hugging her a bit more.
Tsuhiko tried to pry me off, but she sighed and gave up, putting an arm around me and leaning her head on my head.
"How'd you know I was in a bad mood?" She asked.
I chuckled a bit. "You never look up at the stars. And when you do your either troubled or mad." I explained.
"Your too good at knowing what I'm thinking." She sighed.
"Worried about the mission, are you?" I said, drinking a ration.
She shrugged, looking back up at the stars. Something must be really off for her to be like this. I guess I shouldn't pry too much, or I might be a bother.
But when I try to get and walk away, she grabs me and holds me close. "Can you stay here a bit?" She asked.
I slowly nod and sit back down, leaning my back against hers. Soon, I could hear her breathing calm, so she had fallen asleep. I slowly creep away after placing a blanket over her and make my way back to the camp.
As I'm grabbing my sleeping bag, a foot steps beside me and I look up to see Kirishima standing there, he glared down at me with that annoying black look.
"What?" I asked, ignoring him and placing my sleeping bag in a comfortable place.
Kirishima kneeled down and stared at me, almost like he was staring at something that was his enemy.
"Let's get one thing straight, Kojima. I don't trust you. So if I see anything suspicious, I will cut you down with my katana." He said with a dark glare.
I don't lose eye contact, and I counter with something. "If your so untrustworthy of me, why not kill me right now? Say a horsemen did it in my sleep?" I asked.
He squinted at me as if to try to get what I was talking about. I sit cross legged and sigh, looking up at the older man.
"I'm saying... if you try to kill me, I'll feed you to my demon contract." I said with a dark voice.
Kirishima flinched at my threat. The funny thing was, is that I could make her do that, and I'm pretty sure she'd be happy to oblige. I stand up and get into his face, even though he's taller than me.
"Then let me set something in stone for you. I don't trust you either. If you wanna fight, then I'm happy to oblige." I said.
As we're both getting fueled up, I feel a hand on my shoulder. One went on Kirishima's also, we both look slowly behind us to find Shiina with a very scary sadistic smirk on.
"This might be a bit of a shock to you both... but some people are trying to sleep." She said with a look that sent shivers down both our spines.
We both nod and Shiina walks back to her sleeping bag, going straight back to sleep. So she's a light sleeper? I turn back and glare at Kirishima for a while, then he gives a stuck up hmph.
He walked away, leaning against a building and covering only half his body with the sleeping bag. I stop glaring and lay out mine and climb in.
At least I know that there's someone here that hates my guts for some reason. What's his deal? Whatever the problem he has with me, he ticks me the wrong way.
Maybe if I sleep on it I can cool my head.
