Claire POV

The helicopter had landed a few minutes ago. Now I sit with other nobles around a table, and at the head I'd Crowley. He gives us a welcoming smile.

"Welcome. I'm glad you came to help." He said, displaying his hands out. Crowley always had me on edge, I never liked or disliked him much.

Ferid on the other hand, who was sitting not too far away from me, was a creep that I really didn't like. He gave me a glance and a short smirk, then focused on what was being said.

"Our prisoners won't work well, the humans are smart enough not to come save them." Said one, looking a bit worried about their plan.

Right, their plan. I don't like it, it's barbaric and not prideful at all. These moments are the moments that make me sick that I'm half of whatever they are. I clench my hands on the arm rests to calm myself down.

Behind me, Mika stands beside me, he was to be my partner on this mission. Allan was hooked up with a whole team of vampires, and was outside defending the hostages, and probably doing sadistic, sick things to them.

Just thinking about it made me want to go and kick his teeth in. But I don't have the guts to do that, he's a noble. I might be a noble, but being ruled under the queen makes me lower than him, hence why I'm basically being auctioned off as his Damn bride.

The wedding...

I don't want to think about it. After two months, I'll be we'd to that bastard. I feel another sick feeling in my stomach, but I try and focus back on the conversation.

"You worry too much, Grotz. The humans have a instinct not to leave their fellow man behind. They will come." Ferid said, very convinced of this it seemed.

Grotz, the vampire that was still worried about the plan, slowly caved and gave up his argument. Crowley clapped his hands with a smile. "Then we're in agreement that we wait for the humans to make their move?" He asked.

Everyone nodded, including me. As the others left, I stood, Mika walking out with me. For awhile, we walked in silence, until we made it into a room.

"What do you think?" Mika asked.

I sighed deeply. "Our plan is going to need some fine tuning." I mumbled, which Mika nodded to. Yes, our plan. The plan was to collect Yuichiro Hyakuya and Waylon Kojima, and then escape with the both of them. The queen became quite interested in him when I mentioned him in my briefing.

But will those two come willingly? I doubt Waylon will, if he even heard a word about the queen, he'd probably take the chance to kill her. He hates vampires that much. He'd kill me if I even give a slightest hint that I don't trust him.

But the scary part is that I do trust him, more than all of my teammates.

"I doubt the humans will act so-!" Mika started, but then a loud explosion rang out, echoing through the halls. The building shook, rubble came loose from the ceiling.

I give him a look, and he doesn't make eye contact. "Okay, yeah, spoke too soon!" He said, as we both ran out of the room.

Waylon POV

I shot the next few vampires that were guarding the people on stakes. When we had arrived, we made a plan. We were helping get everyone out of here, while some of the other forces took on the nobles and other vampires on the inside.

Yoichi cut down another person, and told them to run to the airport. I shot down any vampire that even looked in his direction. The explosion we had set off made a large puff of smoke around the front of the building, covering our movements.

But that means we also have limited view, luckily I have some goggles that were in my bag that I threw on, I don't have to worry about the dust and debris getting in my eyes.

Mitsuba pushes back a vampire and cuts it's arm off, it backs off, screaming in pain, I then aim one gun and shoot it in the face, finishing it for her.

Yu and Shinoa both have each other covered, I have to cover the other three while they cut people down. Other squads move around us also, working to get everyone out as fast as we can.

We were to leave if they started to overpower us. This order came from Guren himself, and he seemed serious.

I remember something my squad talked about before coming into battle. Shinoa had pulled us aside, and had spoken to everyone in a serious tone.

"If the situation looks dire, then we're abandoning the mission and heading to the airport. Promise me." She made all of us make that promise, but I'm not too sure about it. An order is an order, but it's an order I don't like.

I can see outlines of another vampire unit coming out of the entrance. I turn to Kimizuki, "cover them, I'm gonna take care of these ones!" I called.

He gave me a nod and I ran towards the exits. As I run I shoot any vampire I pass, screams fill the air. I can't tell if their our people's screams or the vampires I'm shooting.

I stop in my tracks as a giant hammer is crushed in front of me. I jump back, and see that a very large vampire is standing there, wearing noble clothing. He had a large mustache, bald head.

A vampire came to the big ones side. "Sire Penn, there is only one of them!" The smaller one said.

The big one, Penn, smiled at this, and raised his hammer. "Good. We can take of this, go." He said.

We?!

I turn around and duck from a spear attack, and roll out of the way of another jab. A tall vampire, again with noble clothing stood there, with long black hair that reached to his back. He gave me a smirk, getting into another position to attack.

"Simon, are you ready? This one seems a bit different." Said Penn, getting on the other side of me.

Simon's smirk grew. "Very ready."

I aim one gun at both of them, taking a deep breath. "Bring it on. I've beat Ornstein and Smough before."
