*Epilogue (1)*
Charlie's POV
7 years later
"Can I just take the blind fold off now?" I complained and Peter held my shoulders and helped me walk, making sure that I didn't bang into stuff. I hated surprises with everything in me, yet my boyfriend decided that it would be a great idea to blindfold me and take me somewhere which he said was a surprise. Really?
"Okay you can take it off now" I heard him say. I pulled it off and looked around. We were in a park. The moon and the stars were shimmering in the sky and a blanket with a pizza box on was laid out carefully for us. But that wasn't the part that surprised me most.
What made me gasp was my boyfriend, Peter Parker, in front of me on one knee, in his had an open velvet box which held a sliver diamond ring. My eyes widened as I looked at him in shock, unsure of what to do.
"Charlotte Maria Diana Stark, I've known you nearly all my life and there is not another person in the whole world that I would rather spend all that time with. You are the one person that makes me feel complete. I love how smart you are, how sly and sassy you are, the way you make jokes when you feel awkward" He laughed. I held my hands on my face, a chuckle escaping my lips which were pulled into a large smile.
"So I was wondering, if you would do me the honour of marrying me?" He asked, looking up at me with his big doe eyes. How did I get so lucky as to have this amazing man kneeling in front of me which Pizza at the side and the most gorgeous ring in his hand?
"You're crying" He chuckled as a few happy tears escaped my eyes.
"No I'm not" I laughed, brushing them away with my smile still plastered on my face.
He laughed, raising an eyebrow at me. "I thought Charlie Stark doesn't cry" He mimicked something that I had probably said to him nearly a thousand times.
"She doesn't but Charlotte Stark-Parker does" I smiled at him brightly.
"Is that a yes?" He questioned, his eyes lighting up like a Christmas tree.
"Yes" I exclaimed and pulled him up, planting my lips straight into his. I watched as he slid the ring onto my finger, happiness filling me so much that I thought I might explode.
"Well, this is the start of our happily ever after" Peter joked.
It certainly was.
----------------------
"Hey guys" I bounded into Avengers Tower with Peter so our annual Sunday meal.
The Avengers were certainly getting on, my dad having some noticeably grey hair but for now they were still the same only with two differences. Two years ago my parents officially got married when my dad popped the question while they were away in Hawaii. Secondly, Clint and Natasha had officially gotten together. They had even admitted it to the press. That was 6 years ago though so it was normal news now.
Thor visited regularly and often stayed for long periods of time while the rest of them still lived here all the time.
"Hey Charlie, Peter what's up?" Bruce asked as we walked into the room where they were all sat on the Sofas watching TV or reading the news paper. So the usual really.
"You tell me" I smirked and held my hand up, exposing my ring to them all.
"OH MY GOD!!" My mum screamed so loud I think that they could here it in Antartica. She ran to me giving me a tight hug and picking my hand up to look at the ring closely. She squealed again and quickly moved onto Peter rapping him in a tight hug.
Natasha jumped up and hugged me. Also taking a second to look at the ring before rapping Peter in a tight hug which I could tell surprised him a bit. All the men however, seemed to be staring at my hand shocked.
"Congratulations" Thor got up first, striding over to us. He hugged me tightly as always and shook Peter's hand. I could help but notice Peter rub his hand after due to Thor's hard grip.
"I'm happy for you, even if I hated your for ages Peter" Clint laughed and gave me a hug, going over to Peter and hitting him on the back in a. Friendly guy kind of way.
Peter laughed and rolled his eyes. "Thanks Clint" He smirked. Yeah, the two of them now got on really well. It was weird.
"Congratulations guys" Bruce smiled and gave me a bit of an awkward hug but I smiled and gave him a big hug back anyway.
Steve paced over to us, looking serious a first until a smile spread across his face. "Don't hurt her Peter" He jokingly wanted him which made me roll my eyes. As if I couldn't kick Peters ass if I wanted too.
Steve gave me a tight hug and shook Peter's hand as well, moving to the side. The only person left was my dad who sat there looking at us just like 7 years ago when we told him that we were together.
"Dad?" I gave him a cheeky grin, knowing that it would probably break him.
"I can't believe my baby girls engaged." He exclaimed. For a second, I actually thought he might cry, but he composed himself rather quickly, running over and rapping him in a big fatherly hug.
"You better take good care of her or I'll make you wish you were never born kid" He threatened Peter as he turned to him.
"Of course" Peter smiled, his eyes shifting to me with amusement. My dad surprisingly gave him a man hug.
I laughed along with everyone else and looked down at my left hand.
I was engaged to my once best friend Peter Parker and I couldn't be any happier.
