"You're up early," James walked into my living room making my head snap up from where I was scribbling down lyrics into my old notepad.

"I'm working," I smiled up at him as I sat crossed legged on the piano bench.

"Early morning inspiration?" he asked taking a spot next to me on the bench making me shuffle to one end, giving him a bit more room.

"Exactly," I sighed still smiling faintly before quickly pecking his lips.

"So come on," he grinned brightly.

"Come on what?" I asked letting out a small laugh not exactly sure what he was saying.

"Come on show me what you've been working on," he reached for my still open book but I snapped it shut before he could even catch a peak.

"No," I shook my head firmly at him making James frown.

"Why not?" he asked still trying to get hold of my book but I clutched it to my chest so he couldn't get it.

"Well because," I chewed on my bottom lip trying to think of a reason that he would find legitimate rather then I didn't like to share my songs until they finished usually, especially if the person was the inspiration of the song and James was. James just looked at me eagerly to go on. "Because," I dragged out the word tapping my fingers on the stool, my other hand still holding onto the book tightly.

"Because..." he mimicked my tone making fun of me making me smile slightly as my fingers tapped still.

"Because James it's not finished," I sighed, not exactly lying to him.

"Oh come on I don't care," he laughed slightly at me but I shook my head firmly, letting him know I wasn't giving up on this. "Hol," he pleaded, pouting slightly making me roll my eyes, again shaking my head at him to really prove that I wasn't giving in.

"Sorry," I shrugged simply. "You can't win me over with pouting."

"Fine if I can't get it by playing nice," he let out a small sigh and I squinted at him confused as to where this was going. "I will pin you down and..."

"James it's a bit early for that," I muttered my grip tightening on the book as I smirked cheekily up at him.

"Don't be so dirty minded," he rolled his eyes at me as I still smirked. "I meant I will rip that notebook out of your hands."

"Well then you'll rip it in half and I will never talk to you again," I said calmly and casually.

"Fine," he gave in but glanced at my note book again.

"Seriously don't look at this," I begged turning less joking now. "I mean it's really private," I said softer then before keeping the book to my chest so it was protected.

"Is it really?" he asked raising an eyebrow only sounding more intrigued.

"No James," I shook my head at him firmly. "I'm just not ready to show you okay?" I let out a sigh.

"Fine," he gave in shrugging at me dropping the subject there.

"Thank you," I released the book and placing it on top of the piano for when I'd need to use it next. "So what are your plans today?" I asked smiling softly.

"Hmm nothing much," he sighed fidgeting slightly. "We're going to the studio for a bit to work on album two."

"Fun," I laughed at him softly making him smile.

"What are you doing then?" he asked looking at his lap.

"Erm I'm meant to be writing but I'm already so far ahead on the album I could not write for a week and still be finished by the deadline," I replied casually.
