"Try singing a note into the microphone," one of the sound technicians told me and I gave a polite smile before I sang a note into the hand held microphone I had. Sound checks were just one of those things I had to do, the only good thing was that because I was closing the show I didn't have to get in at a stupidly early time. I sort of enjoyed it though, it was a rehearsal to me actually, a rehearsal I sort of needed actually because it was all new staging and the chances were at least a few people would be excited to see me perform. But once sound check finished I had to do the usual pre-show stuff of getting my make up and hair sorted whilst Zoe excited spoke about everything making at the same time slightly nervous and even more excited to perform.

"Have you lost weight?" Zoe asked looking at me as I checked out my outfit in the mirror.

"I don't know actually," I sighed looking in the mirror at my body.

"Jesus you have Holly," she gasped and I looked at my outfit considering that maybe it was my outfit that made me look like I'd lost weight but it didn't seem to be.

"I didn't realise," I tilted my head examining the cream play-suit with this sight gold detailing on the top making it the reason I chose it but it came in at the waist so much that I looked a lot smaller there then I thought I was.

"You still look nice though," she smiled at me. "You're legs look good." she nodded and I stared at them for a second.

"Weirdly long," I agreed running a hand through my hair probably annoying the girl who had spent ages curling it. "The hair actually goes nicely with the outfit," I smirked at her.

"You're welcome," she said smugly sitting on my sofa.

"Cocky," I laughed looking over at her.

"Oh that's just me," Zoe shrugged grinning. "I'm amazing and talented and fab at dying hair."

"You forgot modest," I smirked at her and her smile grew even larger.

"Oh silly me," she laughed slightly before my door swung open whoever opened it not bothering to knock or ask to come instead they invited themselves in.

"Holly we're staying here until we go on stage," Brad announced walking into my room being followed closely by Connor.

"Erm okay why?" I asked letting out a sigh at them glancing as they exchanged polite smiles with Zoe which was nice instead of ignoring them.

"The wicked bitch of the west decided to come watch us and she's literally driving us up the wall," he explained collapsing on the sofa next to Zoe.

"Who's that?" Zoe asked intrigued.

"That is James's new girlfriend," Connor explained making Zoe let out a small laugh.

"I was just calling a bitch so I like the creativeness," Zoe smirked looking between the two boys.

"What do you have against her?" Brad asked slightly surprised Zoe even knew who she was. "You've never met her."

"Please I know enough about her from what she said to Holly," she rolled her eyes. "Because she's so smart and knows exactly what girls like Holly are like."

"What?" Connor stared at me confused.

"I second the what," Brad raised his hand.

"I didn't tell you but Lily may have taken it into her own hands to try scare me off," I let out a sigh crossing one leg over the other still keeping my balance still. "It was in the living room before I left, she told me to not go near her or you guys or something, I can't remember but..."
