Chapter 49: Fix You

Matt's POV:
As the rest of the WWE Avengers leave, Vanessa and I get ready for the Packers week one preseason game. We're getting ready and the door opens to revival Jeff. I look at him and his eyes dart to Vanessa. I look at the diva worried but she remains calm and breathes deep. My brother goes up to his room. Staying calm I go to Jeff. We hug but something seams off.
I'm looking at Vanessa sad.
Vanessa's POV:
As a sad Matt looks at me, I start to get worried. I rush the stairs and fling myself on the wall and a song comes to my mind. I write down some notes and a melody. Words are missing from my song. Matt enters the studio frustrated at the situation we're in. I look at the expression on Matt's face and it looks like he wants to hit something I grab a pillow and I hold it up. Matt has his fist clenched and he hits the pillow. Thankfully we're okay and no injuries were reported. I see Matt and he starts to cry. I go into the booth and I sing a song perfect for this situation.

As we finished the song, Jeff looks at us and leaves the studio. Matt and I look at each other and he leaves the booth. I'm still inside the booth and I listen to our song. As i'm listening to our version of Fix You, I see Matt coming in with tears streaming down his face.
Matt's POV:
I sit on the wall crying because all the stuff my brother said to me. I feel my pocket vibrate and I pull out my phone.
Text conversation:
Matt, are you okay?
Hey Lita, i'm not okay.

Idk what to do. I have to be on the road all week and with Jeff going through detox I want to be here for him.
Matt, I know you want to be in Cameron with your brother but the WWE Universe wants you wherever they are.
So you're saying that work is important then my brother?
Matt, Stephanie and Triple H are counting on you to show up and be the amazing superstar you can be. Jeff is in amazing hands. Vanessa is with you guys right?

As Lita and I end our chat, Vanessa enters the studio and i'm rattling off the house rules and the rules for dealing with Jeff. I see the rookie diva heart broken that i'm going on the road. Monday comes around and I leave a note for the duo.
Vanessa's POV:
My alarm rings and i'm up. I look around for Matt and I see a note.

Left for the airport. Jeff, stay strong Vanessa, don't worry.
That line of the note sends me to the studio. I record a song but it's about a guy.

I pulled my phone from my pocket and snapped a selfie. I posted it on Instagram. thevixenviper721 Recorded a song #nofilter as I leave the studio, Jeff enters the booth and saves my song. He sings one.

I enter the studio to find Jeff saving a song. I press play and i'm taken aback at how smooth the song is. We leave the studio and I send a message to Lita that turns into a group message.
Group Message:
Lita Matt Jeff had a break through
Vanessa, how did you do it?
Music. Matt and I recorded a song before he left for Florida.

As the group chat ends, I noticed it was getting late and I fell asleep watching 12 Rounds: Reloaded. I wake up to see a shivering Jeff on the stairs. Oh no Jeff is going through withdrawals. I panic and text Matt.
Text conversation:
Matt, are you awake?
I am now. Are you okay?
I'm fine but your brother isn't.
Omg! Do you know what's wrong?
Drug withdrawals. I'm panicking idk what to do!
Calm down! You're going to do the best you can to make my brother better.

Stay calm and walk up to where Jeff is and ensure he'll trust you.

As I slowly make my way up to Jeff, I hug him. He gets shocked at first but then the hug gets returned. I tell Jeff i'll be right back. I leave the house to grab something off the bus. I race inside and find Jeff still shivering on the stairs. I wrap my favorite blanket around us. The silence isn't awkward but peaceful. Hours go by and I start to get worried. My heart is racing but I take a few slow deep breaths. I see Jeff doing the same thing. We go to the studio and I see all the music equipment and sheet music. I write a song and I go into the booth to record it.
