Chapter 55: Broken

Vanessa's POV:
We're in the limo and Jeff looks at me. We sit in silence. I feel so confused and I break the silence. As the limo goes to my door, Jeff and Matt pack up the things they brought and they leave the house. I sit down broken and crying. I sing a song.
I just wanna be alone tonight
I just wanna take a little breather

As the rest of the night draws on, the silence drags on. I text John.
Text conversation:
Hey John, how are you?
Hey Vanessa, i'm good. How are you?

The Hardy Brothers left. I'm feeling lonely. Could you assemble the WWE Avengers?

No problem.
As I wait for the WWE Avengers, I look at my engagement ring. The doorbell rings and I answer the door. My jaw drops and Jeff enters the house.
Jeff's POV:
I look at Vanessa and we embrace. I told Matt that leaving Tampa would be a huge mistake. As the WWE Avengers arrive, I hide out in the guest bedroom. John, Zack, Dean, Seth, Roman and Vanessa all assemble in the kitchen. Time to put Operation Feel Better Vanessa into motion. I'm trying to go stealth mode through the house it worked. After the WWE Avengers leave, I send Vanessa a text clue.
Text clue:
Climb up the stairs and hang a left from your bed room you'll see a dark place.
Vanessa's POV:
I look at Jeff's clue and I follow it. I climb up the stairs and make a left from my bed room then I see candles all across the bathroom and around the corner I see strawberries and my mixed CD in the player. I look to my right and retrieve my phone to see a text from Jeff.
You look stressed out so I thought of something to make you feel better I hope you don't stress out too much when I tell you I set up the bathroom for you to relax. The first step is a bubble bath. I look to my left and turn on the taps. The water flowed so smooth I add in some bubbles. As I step in the bubbly water, I relax and think about life. Jeff checks that off his list. After the bubble bath, we watch Pretty Woman. I look at Jeff and he's asleep. I wrap a blanket around him and I go to my bedroom. As I fall asleep, I start to have a nightmare. I wake up crying and I go downstairs to to the couch and wrap myself in the blanket that Jeff is in. I listen to his breathing and it settles me back to sleep. I feel a hand on my messy hair. As a good dream enters my head, Jeff wakes up and notices me. I look at the Hardy Brother and told him about the nightmare. He tells me a trick that was used to calm Matt down whenever bad dreams happened to him. The first thing I did was positive thinking. Next, a life long goal I accomplished. Last, was helping somebody I cared about. I thought positively about everything then a life long goal I accomplished was brought down on a rope. The person I cared about and helped was Jeff. I smiled as he remains upstairs. I offer the couch back to the confused Hardy. Something tells me that this wasn't easy but it had to be done. I grabbed my phone and group messaged Matt and Lita.
Group Message:
Matt Lita you guys up?
We are now. Are you okay?
I'm fine but Jeff isn't and i'm scared!
Do you know what's wrong?
Idk what's wrong. It can't be withdrawals from drugs can it?
Maybe it's a crush or a broken heart.
Lita, you're a genius!
Thanks, Matt! Vanessa, you have to talk to Jeff and see what's wrong with him. It's the only way to see how he feels.

I walk up to where Jeff is sitting and I approach him and he kisses me on my lips. I pull back and run downstairs and I text Zack.
Text conversation:
Yo broski, are you awake?
Yeah. Are you okay?
Jeff Hardy kissed me and i'm freaking out royally! I didn't kiss back though.
That's good maybe Jeff has a crush on you.
Zack, normally i'd be freaking out right now but i'm not because you're right. I know Jeff has a soft spot for music.
Is that why you went to Cameron?
Yeah. Matt is such a worry wart. Matt is texting me ttyl.

I end my conversation with Matt so upset and I start to cry. I hear foot steps coming down the stairs and they're Jeff's
Jeff's POV:
Wow! I never saw a diva broken down so much that she cries so hard. I look at the upset champion confused and heartbroken. We sit in silence until I hear my phone buzz. It's a text from my brother

Dude Vanessa knows.
I figured that's why she's crying.
Bro, i'm so sorry it came out.
