Dean's POV:
Vegas the place Vanessa and I call home! We're so pumped up to have a few weeks off. No shows no press it's a worry free week. We're in my apartment watching Fast 5 on the USA Network. Vanessa thinks about how cool it would be to star in an action movie. Her phone rings My Time is Now. Vanessa takes the call and walks away from me. An hour later, the rookie diva comes back and kisses me. We go to a karaoke bar and the theme is 70's I pick You Make Me feel Like Dancing and Vanessa's song is a surprise. The Legacy is also at the bar.
Vanessa's POV:
I ask the bartender for a Jack and Coke for me and a Gin and Tonic for Dean. I drink the drink and i'm up to sing. The soft sound of the piano plays and I sing
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Randy takes the stage and sings
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows the tune she hums
We sing the next part together
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
I sing the next part
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Randy sings his part
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly
I sing the first chorus
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
We finish the song together
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
The bar pops with cheers as Randy and I leave the stage. I sit at the bar talking and Dean takes the stage to sing. As his song is going on I look at the stool on my left. I noticed Punk is here not enjoying himself. I walk up to him and smile. Punk looks at me. I think Punk must be the Designated driver I laugh out loud thinking that a straight edge would love to sing karaoke. Little did I know the bartender called out for any last second performances I hit the stage with the Legacy and we sing.
Everybody sings the song hoping to get Punk in the mood. Punk leaves me to tent to four drunk guys! I drive them to Dean's apartment. Lucky me I think sarcastic. Dean is asleep in his bed room. Randy, Cody and Ted are all spiraled on the couch I leave the apartment sending Dean a good night text and some lyrics to the song I sang
You had a busy day today. I head back to the home I grew up in and went to sleep in my old sports bed room.
