I quickly ran toward the Room of Requirement, my skirt flowing through the air. My tie was slightly loose, and my buttons weren't all the way done up. When I stood in front of the door to the Room of Requirement, my heart pounded. It was either I'd see something bad or...

I'd see something bad.

I exhaled sharply and slowly opened the door. I stepped inside, the dusty, old room piled with all sorts of things. The door behind me creaked as it closed. I looked around, hoping to find him here. Then I heard voices echoing.

"Best if you close your eyes, Harry," Ginny's voice rang out, loud but soft.

My fists clenched, and I followed the sound. There I was, creeping up on them. They stood in front of the vanishing cabinet, covered by a dusty old cloth. A large pile of things was in front of me, the perfect spot to peek without being seen. It offered a clear view. I eavesdropped, watching them. Ginny had something in her hand— a book. No... it was Snape's book, the one that had been lost. She kept it tucked around a corner, where Harry couldn't see. But I could. When she hid it, she slowly approached Harry while he was still closing his eyes. She was near him— near his... his lips. Harry stood still, didn't even move. And then, the worse thing happened.

Ginny planted a soft kiss on Harry's lips. When Harry felt it, his eyes snapped open wide. He was speechless, shocked. I didn't know how to describe his expression. It was somewhere between happy and sad— almost like nothing at all. Ginny gave him only a faint grin, then left. Meanwhile, I stayed behind a pile of things. Just as I was about to leave, I stepped on something. A loud squeaking sound erupted.

"Fuck," I whispered.

When I turned around, I saw Harry approaching slowly. I whispered, "Occultare Meum," and vanished just as he came within a meter of me.

He lifted his wand, pointing it straight at me. I didn't know whether to run or just accept my fate. As I hesitated, he waved his wand at me, instantly revealing my presence.

"[F/n]?" he said, curiosity lacing his voice. "Were you... were you here all along?"

I pursed my lips, unsure of what to say. My chest beat rapidly, nervous about how close his face and body were to mine. I gulped, biting my lip before I spoke. "I-um... yeah. I was just looking for something. How did you know I was here?"

"I could smell your perfume.." He responded. He caressed the back of his neck, as if he were a little nervous. "Did you see?" He asked.

I let out a faint, sarcastic chuckle. "Nah, I don't- I didn't see."

He looked at me, full of doubt, but pushed it aside. He tucked his wand away and licked his lips. Silence encompassed us once again— there was no one else in the room but the two of us. It was dark, yes, but not dark enough. A few lanterns in the corners cast a soft glow, illuminating the space just enough. He stepped closer. And closer. Till I was pinned on the wall. I didn't move, I stood still— looking up at him.

Merlins. He was tall.

I liked everything about him. Every inch of his existence. His messy hair, his shirt not buttoned all the way up. He reached out, gently cupping my cheeks in his hand.

"I... I've wanted to do this for a long time, [F/n]," he huffed, his voice low, the air between us growing warmer.

I swallowed hard, my eyes locked on his bright green ones, flickering between my gaze and lips.

Was this it?

I asked him, "Do what, Harry?"

And with that, his lips crashed into mine. I was shocked at first— but I reciprocated the act. Our soft kissed quickly deepened, turning hard and desperate, like we'd been longing for each other for far too long. That aching feeling of wanting someone— needing someone. It felt just like that. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, fingers tangling in the back of his hair, while his hands slide down to my waist. He pulled me in, holding me there for dear life. Like he was afraid to ever let me go. Soon, we found our way to a nearby mattress— as if it had been placed there just for us. This moment... it felt given. This was the Room of Requirement, after all. We ended up on the mattress, our kisses deepening, our hair growing messier with each passing second. His lips began to trail down my neck, across my collarbone, and lower. Then he looked up at me, eyes steady— reassuring.
