Here we are again— back at Malfoy Manor.
The adults were downstairs, talking about Harry Potter, as usual. I believe they were planning how to capture Potter, as they'd heard he was to be moved on the 30th. Since everyone there trusts me, I actually gave them false information— because I know when they're really going to move Harry Potter to a safer place. And... Confidentially, Harry and I have been sending each other letters all summer. And don't worry— I made very sure the Ministry didn't interfere with them. A couple of enchantments here and there, a few tricks I picked up from the Weasley twins, and voilà.
Right now, it's me, Mattheo, Victoria, and Draco hanging out in Draco's room. Draco's curled up in the armchair by the corner, reading a book. Mattheo's knocked out on the bed— typical. And Victoria and I? We're sprawled across the carpet, whispering and giggling about my complicated love life.
Yes— the whole clan knows about me and Harry now. Or... whatever 'me and Harry' actually is. Are we together? Is it just mutual? It's hard to say. We write like we are. He signs his letters like he means it. But it's all words on parchment until I see him again.
"Are you still a virgin?" Victoria asked, blunt as ever, her usual teasing tone not missing a beat.
My eyes widened and I immediately covered her mouth, glancing at Draco, who was giving me that death stare. I turned back to Victoria, she continued to chuckle— though I had half a mind to strangle her even if it means doing it in front of Merlins. "Can you shut up, would you?" I demanded, eventually letting my hand fall.
She chuckled slyly, "I'll take that as a no!"
A faint grin tugged at my lips as I rolled my eyes at her, cheeks flushing slightly. "Shut up," I muttered.
Suddenly, the sharp clap of a book snapping shut echoed through the room. We all turned toward Draco— it was obviously him. He rose from his chair and slid the book back onto the self. Then, turning to face us, he looked every bit as bored as he was restless.
"You lot fancy a bit of eavesdropping?" he asked, a sly glint in his eye. "Might be worth knowing what their plan is. After all, we're helping Harry Potter now... aren't we, [F/n]?"
Of course— there was no hesitation to this. Victoria and I exchanged a glance— our expression already giving us away. Excitement and agreement. We nodded in unison, and got to or feet.
"I suppose we'll be fine without a Concealment Charm?" Victoria asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I suppose so," I replied, then turned to Draco. "What do you think, Dray?"
"Nah, that'd be pretty boring," he said with a faint smirk, stepping forward to open the door. "Now, come on." He held the door open for us. "Ladies first."
We slipped out into the hallway, Draco closing the door quietly behind us. Step by careful step, we tiptoed through the dim corridor, heading toward the great dining hall— where we knew they'd all be gathered.
The Death Eaters, My father and Mother, and Even Snape himself was there.
As we arrived at the dining hall... well, let's just say it was more open than I'd expected. Too exposed. We exchanged a quick glance, and without a word, decided it was best to use a Concealment Charm after all. With wands drawn, we whispered the spell and crept quietly into a shadowed corner behind a large pillar. Hidden from sight, we stood still— watching, listening and hanging onto every word they said.
Snape spoke, his voice low but clear. "The attack on the Burrow, Greyback reported seeing another presence there— someone... unfamiliar. A female, I suppose,"
