Chapter Five
I walked in the apartment to find Dakota unpacking our dishes and glasses. I'm guessing she smelt the coffee because she ran towards me to grab her drink. Once she took a sip, she scrunched up her nose.
"Bleh. This is cold. What the hell? Starbucks is like two blocks away!" I giggled and walked into the kitchen to help put the rest of the dishes up.
"What took you so long? Did you meet someone? What's her name? Is she cool? Tell me!" She shouted questions at me. She was always one to jump to conclusions. If I called her to tell her that I'd be late at work she'd freak out and think that I'm being held hostage and this was our last goodbye. I had a crazy best friend but she is always being cautious. God bless her next boyfriend because we all know how that last one worked out- and if you don't then let's just leave it at he's an ex boyfriend, not a current.
"I met someone, and it's a guy, and I think he's pretty cool." I say grinning at the ground for no reason. Besides the fact that Harry gave me this weird feeling by just looking at him. I tried to not make eye contact because I knew that she was about to explode. I could probably put it off to the side for like two minutes, five at the most before she basically choked me to death to get answers.
"What?!" She said excitedly. She started to jump up in down in her spot and clap her hands. Almost imitating a seal but not quite.
"No biggie." I said trying to play it cool. I looked up at her and she had a puzzled look on her face. I sighed. I might as well tell her now. I mean, why give the poor girl a heart attack the first day here?
"His name is Harry." I said softly, smiling for no reason again. "Is he British?!" She yelled out. "Well we are in England!" I said sarcastically. "Is he hot? What's his number? Does he live nearby?" She was just all in my face and everything. "Okay, crazy Kota is coming out- settle down now," I said walking into my room. "Patience young one." I winked at her before closing my door to call my mom.
