Chapter 15

Chapter Fifteen

"You're killing me!" Dakota said while laughing and I gave her a smile. She was holding all my bags from other stores.

"I'm almost done. Okay now I am!" I said zipping up the dress and walking out of the changing room to show her. I did a full spin.

"Damn. Your momma let chu date?" She said and winked at me. I pushed her arm and went back into the changing room to change back into my previous outfit.

"So that's a yes to the dress!" I walked out carrying the white ruffled dress that had a tan cardigan with a tan belt and it came to just above my knees. We walked over to the counter and I payed for my dress and added the bag to the handful we already had. I had been to five stores already and spent at least $200-300 on my stuff because I needed to detox with shopping and I was glad that I had my best friend there because she told me the truth, what I looked good in and what I didn't. We had been to Old Navy, Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria's Secret, Wet Seal, and now leaving Forever 21. I had splurged but I'm a girl so how could I say no to clothes? "I'm hungry!" Dakota complained and I laughed.

"When are you not!" I playfully said but she shot me a glare. I laughed again while we walked to the food court. I got us some food from Famous Wok, it was our favorite place to eat, while Dakota was at a table. I carried the food and two medium drinks over to her and her face lit up. She flapped her hands like a seal and I smiled. "Here you go!" I said as I handed her the to-go box of food and she opened it and smelt the food. I thought her eyes were going to roll to the back of her head. I opened mine and began eating.

Before we finished our food I told her about what all happened and she understood me now, but I didn't tell her about me meeting Kyle because I think that she would have gotten mad at me because I left running from one guy and then into the arms of another. After that, I asked her if she wanted to see a movie, and she asked with anticipation, "What's all out?"

"Let me check!" I grabbed my iPhone and scrolled through the listings.

"We have Evil Dead," She shook her head.

"Presence of evil," She shook her head harder.

"And Scary Movie 5!" I finished and looked up.

"OMG. Yes! I've been wanting to see that." She said outloud.

"Alrighty then, Scary Movie 5 it is! We have fifteen minutes before it starts so let's go put these bags in my truck and we'll walk there." I said happily. We got up, threw our food away, and as we were exiting the mall, I heard a guy yell my name and I stopped, thinking it was Harry, so I put on a angry face and turned around. It was Kyle. "Hey!" I said as he came up to me.

"I would have texted you but I don't know your number and let me just say you look stunning!" Kyle said finishing with a wink. I blushed.

"Oh. Let me text you." I replied and grabbed my phone out of my back pocket and glanced at Dakota's blank face because she was confused who this was. "Oh! Kyle, Dakota. Dakota, Kyle!" I said motioning at them and they shook hands. I texted him and his phone rang. I smiled at him. "I met Kyle when I left yesterday!" I told Dakota and she was more cleared up and nodded. I looked up at Kyle.

"We were just about to catch a movie. Do you want to join us? If that's okay with you also, Dakota?" I said changing my eyes from Kyle to Dakota.

"Yeah. More the better." She said smiling. Kyle replied, "Awesome!"

"I just have to stick these bags in my truck and then we'll go! Do you have a car?" I asked and he said yeah, pointing to it and it happened to be right next to mine. It was a black truck. It was a twin of my truck.

"We'll just walk there." I said because the theatre was right next to the mall so I put my stuff inside and we walked to the theatre. "3 tickets to Scary Movie 5, please?" I asked the man. "19.54" He replied and I handed him the money but then Kyle pushed my hand out of the way and handed the guy his money.

"You didn't have to. I have money, I could've payed for you!" I said earning a grin from him.

"Yeah, but you're a girl, you shouldn't have to pay for a guy." My grin turned into a smile. We grabbed the tickets, went in the theatre, and walked to the room that was playing the movie.

40 minutes into the movie I got 6 missed calls from "Sex God💙" and I excused myself from the movie saying I wanted popcorn. Dakota and Kyle stayed paying attention to the movie.
