I really want to make Gaia have been Hunter's (Mars) servant for a long time. Like long before life got on the planet. The reason for it isn't because she is weak, but because she's got so much more power than him. Is she stronger than him? No. Can she do magic and all that good stuff? Yep. So he wouldn't want her to have a chance of getting the gift of life their mother told them about a long time ago. But of course, she gets it, which is why him and the others got so mad. She's a servant, not anyone special.
