Okay so this has been driving me crazy all day. I was looking up pictures of Feli with William and I also got a lot of pictures of people trying to say William and Ludwig are the same people. They AREN'T. It's not even for the fact I don't think Feli and Lud would be a cute couple or anything like that since I do ship GerIta (not in our world though since Feli's got William) and find it cute. I just can't see William and Lud being the same person.

Sure they look alike. Though I would like to point out that William has a darker blond hair color than Ludwig does. But the main argument for it is that the Holy Roman Empire was mostly made of the area that is now Germany. Sure, they were in the same location, but that isn't enough to make someone the same person. If you were to use that argument, why does it only apply to Lud and William? I mean the Roman Empire was the entire area of Italy, but no one is saying Romulus is Feli or Romano. Also speaking of Romano, the Holy Roman Empire was also areas of South Italy and France, yet no one is saying William was Romano or Francis. They also don't really act the same. In the show and manga, Lud sometimes gets annoyed with saving Feli over and over again. Yet William never showed he got annoyed or even tired of being there for Feli. I'm not saying Lud doesn't like Feli, after all Feli is his best friend. I'm just saying he does get tired of being the knight for the Italian all the time. William loved to protect Feli. So much he once followed him in fear he would get hurt or something like that.

So I really can't get behind Lud being William. I just can't. They are two different people who are more than likely twins.

Oh and I almost forgot: we've seen Ludwig has a child and he looked nothing like William! He looked like a baby Ludwig, not the Holy Roman Empire. And he was born right around the same time William was, which means they are more than likely twins, not the same people.

Okay, my rant is over.
