Gaia sat on a rock, looking at the tiny orb in her hand. She hissed a little when she moved, the burn marks her siblings  had given her last night still sore. She sighed, leaning back into the cool water she had created last night. She was proud of her creations so far. New air, new rocks, and even a new thing. She liked the name: water. It made her giggle. She sat back up, dipping her legs into the water.

Now all she had to do was figure out what to put in her world. She didn't want to be alone anymore, and with this orb she could create anything. She knew she had to be careful with it, or else she might not like her creation. So she thought she'd start off smile. Something tiny should do it. she closed her eyes and put all her energy into creating her creature. She smiled in victory has she created her first thing of life.

She looked at the orb, the small girl sighing. "They want to take you away from me. But you're all I have. I know good things are going to come out of having you my little gift of life. You'll make me a new family one day and I won't ever have to think about my old one ever again."

She smiled, closing her eyes and feeling the sun hit her face, drifting off to sleep. That night she dreamed of children running around her, having a grand time. When she woke up later, the only thing she could remember of the dream was a little brown haired boy with long hair and big brown eyes, hugging a weird black and white animal.
