You know, now that I think about it, Alfred probably really loves Francis. Not because of anything Francis has ever done for him, but because what Francis did for Arthur. After the revolution, Francis was the one who took care of Arthur. He stopped Arthur from killing himself a lot. He's also made Arthur smile when he is sad. Alfred probably loves Francis because he's there for his father when he can't be. He's Arthur's hero and always will be.
