Gaia was sitting in her chair, reading a story. Two of her children, Forkert and Romulus, were curled up on her lap. The rest of her little ones were off on trips for their countries. Yet these two didn't have anything to do today and wanted to spend it listening to their mother read to them.
"Mama?" Romulus asked, looking up at her.
"Hm?" Gaia asked, pausing the story.
"Since the others are gone, can you make our favorite food?" the Roman asked, pointing at Forkert has well.
"Of course," she said, chuckling a little. "Do you have a request too Forkert?"
"Can you show us more sword fighting?" the little boy asked. The two loved watching their mother slice up dummies, even if they weren't ready to fight. It was always fun to see her work.
"After the story," Gaia said, making them both grin.
"Thanks Mama!" the two boys tell her, hugging her tightly.

"Romulus! Forkert!" Gaia yelled, dodging flaming branches. Her two sons were caught in a large forest fire, and she had run in to safe them. She had a few burns, but she wasn't about to let her sons die in a fire if she could help it. No matter the harm to her.
"Where are you two?!" Gaia yelled again. She turned and saw a blond hair man trying to help someone out. It was her sons. Romulus had been hit by a burning tree, but once Forkert had pulled him out, he seemed alright. Yet he had a little limb to him.
"Mutter?" Forkert said, surprised to see her.
"Come on you two!" Gaia exclaimed, grabbing their wrist and pulling them out of the forest, seeming to make them much faster. Yet when they saw the night sky from between the trees, a very large branch fell on Gaia. The men tried to help her before she waved them away. "Go," she told them. "Get to safety. I promise I'll be fine. Just go!"
The two had to force themselves away from their mother, wanting to help her. Yet if they had stayed any longer, the fire would have killed them. The next day they walked back to were they last saw Gaia. A stone person that looked just like her was laying on the ground, ash all around. Their mother had died trying to safe them.
"Thank you Mama," they both whispered has they carefully picked the woman up to carry her back home.

Forkert gasped has he woke up, laying on a soft bed. He felt strange. He thought he had died when his knife when in his stomach. He looked up and saw Romulus sitting in a chair, staring at the ground. Strange since his friend had been dead more than a week now.
"How are you alive?" he asked, sitting up. That caused Romulus to look up and hug his friend tightly.
"Mama brought-a us back to live!" the Roman exclaimed happily.
"She did?"
"Si!"
That evening, the two found their mother, hugging her tightly. The same words they always spoke came out of their mouths yet again.
"Thank you Mama. For everything."
