~~~~~~~
When I was little I used to watch my neighbour dance around her garden. She would twirl and jump and look beautiful while doing so. She would spend all of her days outside stretching and dancing until one day when I looked out my bedroom window.. She wasn't there. My mum called me down to the living room to show me that she was on our television winning the 'Best Young Ballerina Of The Year'.. And that's when I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.
And now I'm doing just that..
I stood outside the huge dance academy with sweaty palms and fame on my mind, my dad patted me on the back and gave me a smile.
"You will be the best ballerina they have ever had" He whispered, I smiled before giving him a huge hug.
This was going to be the most intense day of my life.
It was auditions day. The day where new dancers try and get into the best dance academy in the country, I bet there are lots of amazing people trying out today.
I made my way through the corridors where the walls were filled with pictures of amazing ballerinas who were once at the academy. They were dancing on a stage with millions of people cheering for them, now that's where I want to be.
I finally reached the girls dressing room, I entered to realise how crowded and busy it was inside. There was no room to get dressed.. I pushed through some people and found a spot right in the corner of the room.
I set down my bag and began to get changed into my gear. Everybody looked so focused and ready to get a place here, while I was freaking out inside but trying to remain calm.
"Excuse me?" A loud voice said from behind, I looked over my shoulder to see a blonde haired girl wearing a dark green leotard.
"Can I have my pointe shoes?" She said while pointing to under the bench where I was getting changed.
"Oh sorry!" I said while handing them to her.
"You're allowed pointe shoes already?" I said surprisingly, she nodded.
"Yeah. My dad owns this place to I'm practically allowed anything" She said while rolling her eyes.
"And why is that a bad thing?" I asked.
"I don't like ballet. I'm being forced to do it because my dad has a passion" She explained, wow that's a bit harsh..
"What's your name?" She asked a minute later.
"I'm Ella. What about you?" I said with a smile.
"Bethany. Good luck Ella" She said before shaking my hand and disappearing into the crowd of half naked ballerinas.
I'm more than ready for this audition.
