- Ella's POV -
After Cody's announcement everybody went back to their rooms to pick what they were wearing and I somehow got Hayden away from Kim, I wanted some girl time with her before I left her in the trusting hands of her knight in shining armour all night.
I took Kim to a beach not far from the academy, it was a nice place to relax and chill out for a while. There was a little coffee shop right beside the beach so me and Kim decided to get two teas then sit on the beach.
"This p-place is really pretty" Kim said with a smile as we tried to find a nice spot to sit, there was only one other person on the beach and they were walking their dog. It felt good to get away from the craziness of the academy for a while.
We sat down and rested our backs on a huge rock which was looking out to the sea, it was beautiful here.
"Why didn't you invite B-Bethany to come with us?" Kim asked while pulling her woolly coat around her shoulders and arms, I think she is really conscious about the stitchings that covered her inner arms. I reached my hand over and gently placed it on her arm, she looked up at me and smiled slightly.
"I just really needed to talk to you about something, Beth doesn't really like to talk about serious things" I explained with my head down, Kim stared at me weirdly.
"Serious? What's the serious t-topic you need you discuss with me then?" She asked while sipping her tea, I looked away nervously and sighed. Am I really going to tell somebody how I am feeling? It feels right to do this but I'm just so scared, what if I get judged?
"Basically..." I muttered while trying to bring myself to say it, Kim looked at me like she was waiting for the words to come out of my mouth.
"Have you.. ever felt like you have an attraction to the same gender?.." I asked her without looking at her facial expressions, I poured the milk into my tea and began to stir it with a plastic spoon.
"You were so worried about t-telling me you're confused?" Kim asked before putting her hands on her hips, I smiled nervously and nodded.
"I don't want to be treated differently, I'm scared Kim" I said with a sigh, she gave me a hug and a reassuring smile.
"I know what it f-feels like to be confused, whoever you like might feel the same way b-back" She said with a smirk, I rolled my eyes and looked across the beach. What if she does feel the same way?
"Are you g-going to tell me who it is?" Kim asked while nudging me in the elbow I pulled away and laughed nervously but didn't say a word.
"F-fine.. but I will find out!" She shouted before jumping up and taking my hand, we began to skip across the beach like a married couple. Our teas were spilling everywhere but it was funny, so who really cared?!
"Lets get back to the academy, I'll help you look like a princess" Kim said with a smile, I nodded and we walked back to the academy covered in tea.
