- Ella's POV -

Everybody began to leave the dressing room and was given a number to pin to their leotards. I was number 69, great.

A boy pointed and laughed at me as I walked passed, I rolled my eyes and got in line. The corridor was filled with anxious competitors, most of them were making conversation in groups but I'd rather stand alone.

"No friends huh?" A boy said who was in the line behind me, I glanced back at him.

"I'm just here to audition. Friends can wait" I said quietly before looking away from him. He laughed slightly and got out his phone.

"Shouldn't you be focussing on the audition you're about to do which could change your life!" I shouted angrily while turning around. I shut up as soon as he looked up from his phone, he was hot as hell. Extremely tall, red hair and light green eyes, he smiled slightly as I stood in shock.

"Um.. Hello?" He said while clicking his fingers in front of me. I shook my head quickly and looked away.

"I don't give a shit about this audition, Miss Autumn is forcing me to repeat the year" He said while continuing to play angry birds, I looked back at him again.

"So you're really a second year?"

He nodded with a sigh.

"They say I have great potential to be an amazing dancer, I'd rather spend my days drinking and partying" He laughed. I rolled my eyes again, maybe he's not as hot as I thought he was.

"What's your name little one?" He asked.

"Ella" I mumbled, he smiled.

"I'm Cody, maybe we'll be in the same class" He said, I hope not.

The line began to move up and my nerves were getting worse, the sound of birds being catapulted into the sky behind me was not helping.

"Good luck Cody!" A few second year girls said as they passed the line.

"Thanks girls!" Cody shouted, they giggled and walked on. My eyes are going to fall out of my head if I keep rolling them.

"Number 67!" The man with the clip board shouted. Oh shit! It's almost me!

I began to stretch my feet, arms and legs while taking deep breaths, Cody kept looking up at me.

"What? This audition is going to be the biggest moment of my life" I said while linking my hands and stretching upward. He began to laugh.

"You look like you're twelve years old! They'll think you are some kid pretending to be sixteen!" Cody said while laughing more, that wasn't even funny.

"Oh give it a rest ginger" Pointe shoes said as she approached us. What was her name again?.. Oh yeah, Bethany.

"Here comes daddy's girl! His favourite princess is finally old enough to join the academy aw how cute!" Cody shouted in an obnoxious whiny voice. Bethany sighed loudly.

"Uh, do you know each other?" I asked.

"No not really. Sometimes my dad would make me come and watch some of the classes, I saw Cody being the shit dancer he is at the back of the room" She said with a smirk on her face, Cody stared at her with a blank expression.

"If I'm so shit then why are they forcing me to come back? I didn't want this"

"Because your parents are rich like mine. So really we aren't much different" Bethany said before crossing her arms.

"Number 68!" The man called out.

"I'm next!" I screeched. Bethany patted my back then went back to her spot in the line.

Deep breaths Ella deep breaths.

I looked through the window to see number 68 dancing her heart out, the emotion in her face was telling a story as well as her body movements. The scary adults sitting at the table were frozen still.

"Yes I just got my high score!" Cody shouted, interrupting my deep thoughts.

"Number 69!" The man shouted again, he gave me a slight smile as I took a deep breath.

"Good luck little one!" Cody said as I stepped into the dance studio. Here goes nothing.
