- Hayden's POV -
I ran around the academy with a worried look plastered all over my face, I don't understand what I did wrong. Kim was extremely upset..
I ran around the corner quickly and bumped into Ella.
"Oh I'm sorry!" She shouted.
"No it's my fault I shouldn't be running but I'm just really worried" I explained while taking a deep breath in.
"Why?" Ella asked.
"I can't find Kim anywhere, I think I upset her.." I sighed, Ella stared at me angrily.
"You did what?! Is that why she was crying all night and earlier?!" She screamed in my face. I stepped back slightly, for a small person she has a lot of fire.
"Last night? No. After class this morning we were talking and then she began to cry and ran off.." I explained to her, Ella stared at me as if she didn't believe a word I was saying.
"If you find her text me, okay?" Ella said, I nodded and we ran opposite directions. I wonder why Kim was upset last night too?
I took a break at the lockers and sat down on the benches facing them.
"I've screwed up already and it's my second day here.." I mumbled to myself while resting my head on the wall behind me.
- Ella's POV -
The boarding house was empty as everybody was in their classes. I tip toed around the halls in case Kim was around somewhere.
I made my way up to my bedroom and opened the door slowly.. She wasn't there.
"Kim?" I said while walking around the room slowly. I looked under the bed, in the cupboard.. She was no where to be found.
I gave up and went to the bathrooms, they are extremely small in the boarding house. There are only three showers and three toilets, it's going to be such a hassle in the mornings when over 500 girls need a shower..
I entered the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror before re doing my messy bun, I heard something rustling.. I froze and listened for a minute.
I turned around slowly to find where the noise was coming from.. One of the shower curtains were moving slightly. I walked slowly into the shower room and over to the shower which had the curtain pulled over.
"Hello?" I whispered quietly, whoever it was sniffed and moved.
"Can I open the curtain?" I asked in a calming voice. What I learnt from my mother was if anyone was ever upset you should talk quietly, your actions should be slower and delicate.. Oh and also listen to what they are saying.
A moment passed and the person still didn't answer my question.
"Alright" A croaky voice said, they sniffed again before I pulled the curtain away. Kim was sitting in the corner of the shower with her knees to her chest. Her hair was messy and her face was red. I smiled at her and she looked away.
I climbed into the shower and sat opposite to her.
"Can we start over? Yesterday didn't go as planned" I said quietly, she nodded.
"Hi.. I'm Ella, nice to meet you" I said while holding my hand out, she shook it and smiled slightly.
"I-I'm, I'm K-Kim" She stuttered, still continuing to shake my hand, I let go and wiped her eyes.
"Let's get you out of this shower, yeah?" I asked, she nodded and took my hand. I helped her up then we left the bathroom.
