Chapter Thirty One // Breakdowns

- Cody's POV -

After my lunch with Hayden we headed back to the boarding house as we still had a few hours to kill before maths class started.

"Do you wanna go to the gym?" Hayden asked as we entered the boarding house.

"Yeah sure, I'll just go get my gear on" I said with a smile. We went opposite directions to our rooms. For the time being I was alone, I had no roomie which kinda made me sad but relieved at the same time.

I walked down the corridor slowly and passed the girls rooms until I heard someone violently crying but I had no idea where it was coming from. I looked through the windows of some of the girls bedrooms but they were all empty, then I realised it was coming from the bathrooms.

The only person I knew of who would be in there was Bethany, fuck it I'm going in.

I ran into the girls bathrooms and heard Bethany crying extremely loud, she was in one of the showers.

"Beth?!" I said worryingly while making my way into the shower room, she was sitting on the floor still in her red dress with the shower on. Her clothes were soaked.

"Are you okay?! What's happened?!" I said bending down and reaching for her to grab my hand, she pulled me into the shower and hugged me. Great, now I'm soaked.

"Why am I such a fuck up! Why does he hate me!" She screamed while choking on her own tears.

"Hey hey hey calm down, who are you talking about?" I asked while wiping her tears away quickly. She was clearly still drunk from last night.

"My dad! My stupid dad!" Bethany shouted while burying her face in my chest, I need to get her out of the shower rooms before I get in trouble.

"Let's go to your room okay?" I said while helping her up and turning off the shower. She clung onto me while complaining about how bad her head was hurting. 

"I'm not a ballet girl! I'm a piece of shit!" She screamed loudly as we struggled down the corridor. There was a trail of water coming from behind us.

We got to Bethany's room and I sighed with relief, I could've got kicked out of the academy if they saw me in the girls bathrooms.

I grabbed my phone and texted Ella.

"Can you please come to Bethany's bedroom? She's had a bit of a breakdown and I don't know what to do.. Thanks"

Bethany continued to sob on me and I hugged her tightly, I feel so bad for taking her out last night. I didn't know she was such a lightweight.

"Where did you even go last night?" I asked while glancing down at her.

"I made friends and they gave me a drink" Bethany said between huge gasps for air, oh god.

"This is all my fault, I should've been watching you" I sighed loudly and shivered as I was really cold from the shower water.

"Cody? Dude.." Hayden said with a shocked expression as he stood at the door. I bet he was really confused at what he was seeing.

"Bethany's a little bit upset.." I said as she cried loudly.

"Fuck off Hayden!" Bethany screamed, I shook my head.

"I'm here I'm here!" Ella shouted as she ran down the corridor and into Bethany's room, Kim was also with her.

What a nice friendly gathering this is..
