Chapter Thirty Five // Sirens

- Ella's POV -

Everybody was stood outside the academy while watching the ambulance and all of the teachers freaking out. I was crying into Cody's arms and shaking with fear.

Alison was stood beside me with tears in her eyes, it was the first time she had shown emotion. We shared eye contact and she held her arms out to me, I gave her a huge hug and Cody looked shocked.

"I'm so sorry" She whispered while hugging me tight, I buried my face in her shoulder and sighed.

Suddenly a jeep speeded into the academy parking lot and stopped in front of the ambulance, an older couple got out of the car with horrified expressions. They ran over to the ambulance doors and demanded to be let in.

"That's my daughter!" The woman cried while putting her head in her hands. The teachers circled the couple and started to talk to them while everybody else was watching in shock.

Then I spotted Hayden standing with Mr Hastings with a red raw face and shaky arms, what the hell?

"I'll be back in a minute" I whispered to Cody and Alison, I headed over to where Hayden was standing.

"Hayden?" I said while sniffing, he glanced at me and began to cry even more.

"Why're you standing with the teachers?"

"I found her" He weeped, I stared at him with shock then gave him a hug.

"Where was she? What even happened?" I asked while holding him.

"She was under the fire exit stairs and there was blood everywhere I didn't know what to do" Hayden said while beginning to freak out again.

Kim's parents approached us and started to thank Hayden for finding her. I moved away and watched them speak, Alison kept glancing over at me with tears running down her face.

"Are you close with our daughter?" The gentleman in the suit asked Hayden, he nodded slightly.

"I am, but Ella is her best friend here" Hayden said while pointing to me, I stared at them and began to cry again. Her mum ran over and hugged me.

"She's going to be just fine dear, it's just a shock to us all" She said while hugging me, I nodded.

"Why don't you and Hayden come to the hospital in our car?" She said with a forced smile, we agreed and the teachers did too. The ambulance drove off and we got into the huge black jeep and followed it.

Hayden looked so stunned and upset, I don't know what I would've done if I found her lying there. I reached across the car and held his hand, he smiled at me with tear filled eyes.

"She's going to be okay" I whispered to him reassuringly. He nodded and glanced out the window.

A few minutes passed and we had arrived at the nearest hospital, it was crowded as usual. The doctor who was in the ambulance looking after Kim said that they would take her on to a ward and that we would have to wait in the sitting room. Me and Hayden continued to hold hands and sat down on the uncomfortable leather seat, Kim's parents did the same.

They looked very snobby and nothing like Kim at all, her mother wore all black and her hair was blonde and tied up into a huge bun. She had huge glasses and her face was covered in make up. Her father was extremely tall with brown jelled back hair, he was wearing a black suit and had an ear piece in.

"I need to take a business call" Her mum said before strutting outside of the hospital, do they even give a shit that Kim tried to kill herself?
