- Ella's POV -
Over three hours had passed, me and Hayden were still sitting in the waiting room and he was asleep on my shoulder. Kim's parents were gone and I don't know where to.
"How's Kim? Are you guys okay?" I got a text message from Cody.
"We haven't even seen her yet, her parents have pissed off.. I don't really like them xx" I texted back before sighing.
Hayden finally decided to wake up and keep me company, he stretched and glanced around the waiting room.
"Where the hell is her mum and dad?" He asked in a sleepy voice, I shrugged my shoulders and stood up.
"We need to see her now this isn't funny!" I shouted angrily, there was a nurse standing outside the waiting room so I approached her.
"Can I go see if my friend is okay? We have been waiting for hours and I can't deal with the worry anymore" I said while looking down.
"What's your friends name?" She asked while looking down the clip board of all the patients in this ward.
"Kim Prescott?" I said while crossing my fingers. The nurse nodded.
"She's ready for visitors, is it just both of you?" She asked while pointing to me and Hayden. I looked around for Kim's parents then nodded.
"Follow me" The nurse said, Hayden began to freak out again but I assured him that she would be okay.. I hope shes okay.
We arrived at a separate room from the ward, the nurse opened the door slightly to let us go in.
"If you need anything let me know" She whispered before walking off. I looked back at Hayden with a reassuring smile and then opened the door.
There was a loud beeping sound from a huge machine that we heard before we were properly in the room. Hayden grabbed onto my hand as if he was about to breakdown again, I frowned and made my way over to the bed.
She looked so sick, it felt weird that she was totally okay a few hours ago. All the way from her wrists to the inside crease of her elbow were stitched up and her skin was as white as snow. Hayden began to cry silently, trying not to wake her up. I hugged him and sighed.
"She's okay Hayden see? She's going to be okay" I whispered as he sobbed on my shoulder.
Suddenly Kim's eyes began to open and she looked over at me hugging Hayden and smiled, my heart fluttered with happiness.
"Hayden" I said while pointing to Kim, he glanced over at her and his face lit up.
"I l-love you guys" She whispered while closing her eyes again, Hayden smiled widely at me and I patted him on the back.
"We love you too Kim" I said quietly. There were two seats beside the bed so me and Hayden decided to stay with Kim for a little while until the teachers came to pick us up.
"I don't know what I'd do if she didn't make it. I know we haven't known her long but I already.. I already love her" Hayden confessed to me, I looked at him in surprise and then glanced over at Kim who was peacefully sleeping.
"You need to control your temper Hayden okay? She's fragile as we all now know" I said sadly while looking at her arms. He nodded and looked to the floor in shame.
"I'm so glad you found her, you're seriously a hero" I said proudly, Hayden agreed and we decided to dance around the hospital room like weirdos to the old folk music that was the only music the hospital had on their music player.
