Chapter Fifty Seven // Suicide

- Kim's POV -

"Kim?.." A terrified shaky voice said from behind where I sat, I turned my head to see Hayden standing on the bridge. I looked away quickly and glanced down at the stream running under the bridge again, closing my eyes hoping it was just my imagination.

"You're.. You're alive" He said without moving from the spot he stood in, I sighed.

"N-Not for long" I muttered while gripping onto the bridge, my legs continued to dangle over the edge and the wind blew aggressively across my face.

Hayden slowly approached me and sat down on the bridge side, throwing his legs over to sit in the same position as me. I looked over at him with a terrified expression and he smiled bravely.

"Why d-do you care so much?" I whispered as a tear ran down my cheek, my whole body was shaking violently and my eyes were blurred.

"I love you Kim. All I'm focused on right now is you, I want to help you" Hayden said before reaching out his hand to me, I looked down at it and sighed.

"I'm n-nothing. You shouldn't love me" I said before crying loudly, he didn't move or try to comfort me though. Maybe he isn't really here, Maybe this is just my head.

"You want to jump?" He asked while pointing to the river, I nodded and looked at him.

"If you want to then I want to, If you do it then so will I" Hayden said, I stared at him with a horrified look then shook my head quickly.

"You c-can't say that! I don't want you to d-die!" I screamed and cried, He held is hand out again and I grabbed it tightly.

"I don't want you to die either, I need you here with me" He said calmly with a heartbroken smile, I nodded and turned to face him. My legs were no longer hanging over the edge, He looked over the side of the bridge and shook his head.

"If you do this, You'll miss the chance of finding happiness and falling in love, You won't see how your friends and family grow and become who they are suppose to be, You'll miss the world changing and you changing. You'll miss it all Kim" Hayden explained without looking at me. I was still shaking like a leaf and I was tightly holding one of his hands, I nodded in agreement and closed my eyes.

"I-I love you too H-"

"Kim?! Kim is that you?!" I was interrupted by torches blinding my eyes and people running towards me, Hayden was gone. I was alone on the bridge and the rain was pouring down on me.

Mr Hastings pulled me off the bridge and I cried loudly, my hands were bleeding from tightly grabbing onto the rough rocks and stones which sat on the bridge.

"Hayden??! H-Hayden where are you?!" I screamed as they lifted me from the ground and helped me into an ambulance.

"Hayden!" I shouted as we drove away.
