Chapter Thirty Two // Heartbreak

- Ella's POV -

I ran over to Bethany and gave her a hug while trying to avoid getting soaked.

"I'll help her get changed, you can all go now" I said looking at Cody and Hayden. Kim was about to sit down on Alison's bed when Hayden grabbed her by the wrists and dragged her out of the room, wow.

"Are you okay Bethany?" I said worryingly as she continued to sob, she shook her head quickly as I took off her soaking wet dress.

"What do you want to wear?" I asked while rummaging through her cupboards, she had lovely clothes.

"I just wanna go to bed" Bethany cried out, I nodded and brushed her hair quickly before putting it in a messy bun. She climbed into bed and I tucked her in.

"You're definitely not fit for class, are you going to tell me why you're upset now?" I asked while sitting on the bed. She wiped her eyes and sighed.

"I'm just tired of being a piece of shit to my dad, I don't know how to make him proud" She explained while staring blankly at the ceiling.

"I get it Beth, but I know what'll make him proud.." I said with a smile, she glanced over at me.

"Succeeding in the academy. If you show him that you can do this even when you don't want to, he'll be blown away" I explained with a proud smile. I can see it now, Bethany being top of the  class and Alison huffing in the background.

"I don't know how!" Bethany shouted before starting to cry again, I grabbed one of her hands and held it tightly.

"Me, you and Cody. We will be the best" I reassured her, she smiled and called Cody back into the room.

"Yes?" He said while peeking his head into the room.

"Get over here! I need a group hug from my favourite people" Bethany said with blood shot eyes. He jumped out of bed and the three of us hugged.

- Kim's POV -

Cody went back into Bethany's room so it was just me and Hayden awkwardly waiting outside, he decided to break the silence.

"So, are you going to tell me why you're avoiding me?" He said while crossing his arms. I looked up at him and sighed.

"Kim, I really fucking like you and this is torturing me" He said seriously while bending down slightly so he was closer to my face. I stared at him with a horrified look because he admitted to liking me, the thing I really didn't want to hear.

I'm an incredibly emotional person and I can't hide it whatsoever, so I began to cry and freak out. Hayden didn't know what to do, he tried to rub my arms and give me a hug but I pushed him away in panic.

"I-I can't do this okay!" I shouted loudly at him, he stepped back in confusion.

"Do what?! There's nothing to do!" He shouted back at me.

"I d-don't like you! I never will!" I screamed while crying. He looked dead inside, I think I saw a tear in his eye.

"Wow wow calm down Kim" Cody shouted while running out of Bethany's bedroom, Ella and Bethany followed.

"Kim? What's he done now?" Ella asked while calmly walking over to me.

"F-fuck this!" I screamed while pushing passed her and running down the stairs. Ella began to chase me but once again she was too slow.
