One Shot #3: Once Upon A Time (Part 3) [Random AU]

Marco P.O.V.

A sound of 'cluck-a-doodle-doo' woke me from my slumber. I groaned and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. I tried recalling all that happened yesterday, and when I did, sadness overcame me. I muttered and got out of bed, took a quick shower and dressed my normal clothes. I went down and greeted my parents both with a 'Good morning' before silently sitting down on the chair and ate my breakfast.

"Marco?" My mother called out. "Yeah?" She walked towards the dining table, whilst mixing some soup. "Could you do a little errand for me?" 'Anything to forget about yesterday.' I thought to myself. "Sure." I said while chewing on my scrambled egg. "We're running short on food and supplies, so can you go down to the market and buy some food and the supplies?" I nodded. "Thank you, Marco." She said warmly with a smile. I smiled back.

Time Skip

"Mom, I'm going to go to the market now!" I called out to my mother, already by the doorstep. "Alright, Honey! Come back safe!" She shouted back. I opened the door and closed it right back. As I walked going to the market, some girls were staring at me. I rolled my eyes and moved along. I finally arrived at the local market. already swamped with people.

"Why, Hello, Marco! What brings you to the market?" One of the vendors asked me. I smiled back and said, "Doing an errand for Mom." The vendor seemed to understand. "Aah, your mother! Oh! Also, Marco, I heard that the princess is attending a ball today! And her escort's a real hothead! They haven't even met!" My eyes widened. Star, going with a complete stranger?!

I felt a weird feeling at the pit of my stomach and couldn't shake off the feeling that something is going to happen.

Meanwhile

Star P.O.V.

I silently whimpered while looking at the gown i'm supposed to be wearing in around ten minutes. I groaned. "Well, let's hope that this get's over with, fast." I muttered. I grabbed my gown and quickly dressed. I had no idea what to do with my hair so I kept it in a neat bun, with two strands of my hair hanging.

My dress had a Sleeveless pink gown off the right shoulder with hearts around the skirt, a white bow tied around the waist and a heart on the left shoulder. White gloves and high heel boots with hearts on the bottoms too. I sighed. I went out of my room to meet prince 'Tom' and my parents. This is not going to be good.
