Marco's P.O.V.

"Why can't I stop loving Marco?" Her voice was barely a whisper. I widened my eyes. My legs turn to jelly. Star loves me? I felt and heard her quiet sobs, as she hiccuped. Her wheezes and coughs weren't even helping. "I don't want to tell him.. It's going to ruin our friendship.. I don't want that.. I'd rather give Ludo my wand. I'd rather do all those preppy lessons Mom gives me back in Mewni. I'd rather see Marco together with Jackie. I'd do anything to not break our friendship. Even if it means surpressing my feelings. I hate it so much. I can't tell him," She sobbed. I couldn't take much more of this. "That wouldn't break our friendship." I muttered quietly, which made her gasp. "M-Marco..? You... But.. H-how.." She stammered. "Before you ask, yes I heard everything. I'll get you home and dry you up, then we can talk about everything," I said, my emotion undetectable. Star stayed silent. We were at the foot of our door, as I opened it. Just like Star, I was soaked from head to toe. My mother saw me and Star. She gasped. "Marco, you're wet!" She looked at me, horrified. "Mom, can you dry Star up? I'll go clean myself too," I requested. She nodded almost immediately. I saw Star, she was unconscious. I guess that's why she stayed silent. She passed out. Mom took Star and helped her into the bathroom. I sighed, going upstairs to his room.

Time Skip

I was finally dry, as I changed into new clothes. I went downstairs to see a sullen, looking Star slouching on the couch. I joined her.

"Marco,"

"Star,"

She giggled a bit as I drowsily smiled. Then it returned to an awkward silence. "Y-you go first," Star fidded with her fingers. I sighed. "Star.. You could have told me. We're best friends." I started. She looked at me with her big, blue, glassy doe eyes. "And for the record, the bus ride with Jackie was terrible." I chuckled, much to Star's surprise. "What happened? Did you do something stupid?" She asked curiously, her eyes as big as saucers. "No, of course not, she just wouldn't take her eyes off the phone," I laughed. She laughed along. "Plus, I've found someone more important to me now." I said, talking about the very girl right in front of my very eyes. I inched closer to her. "Who is it then?" She muttered.

"The very girl who I saved from the rain,

Star Butterfly."
