A/N: inspired by a comic, so the plot for this oneshot isn't mine exactly. c: i have a feeling this one would be short.

"Now go make me some nachos!" Star demanded. I rolled my eyes. "Okay." I went down to the kitchen, Star following closely behind.
"Go wait on the couch, princess-cuckoo-pants," I chuckled, using one of her nicknames. "No. I wanna watch you cook!"

"Star, no. You might get burned. Now get to the couch and wait, alright?"

"Fine!" She huffed. I rolled my eyes once more. I grabbed my apron and all the things I needed. (A/N: idk how to make nachos) As I made the triangular food, my thoughts drifted, moments ago, in the Blood Moon Ball. I couldn't recall what the speaker had said before I pulled Star in. I never meant to actually waltz with her, just grab her and leave with no one noticing. But the moment I grabbed her hand, a strong pushing force forced me to pull her into a waltz. I saw her gaze dreamily at me while dancing, and I felt like exploding. My face turned beet red at the thought. 'I don't need a hero. I need a friend.' Those words echoed through my mind.

"MARCO! THE NACHO'S ARE BURNING!" Star screamed as I suddenly sniffed a burning scent. All five senses went overdrive as I grabbed the burnt nachos and fanned away the smoke. I wiped a bead of sweat, exhausted. "Marco, are you okay?" Star asked me,obviously concerned. I shook my head, clearing my previous thoughts. "Yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled. I looked down to the burnt nachos and frowned. "Sorry, Star. I burned the nachos and blew it." I rubbed my neck, looking down. I felt a hand touch my cheek, and I saw Star, looking at me with those blue, hypnotic, eyes of hers. "Marco. It's fine. I don't care about that." She muttered as our eyes locked for a few moments. We inched closer, and closer, almost two inches apart. Realizing I was still holding the tray of nachos, I cleared my throat, turning as red as a tomato. I swore I Star's hearts on her cheeks flare a shade darker. "Ah.. Well, I guess we could still enjoy movie night, without nachos?" I nervously said, bits of my voice cracking. She nodded in agreement, to my surprise and plopped down on the couch, signaling me to join her. "So, what movie have you picked this time?" I curiously asked her. She crouched down, finding a DVD, before finally settling on one. "I chose this onr because it had an interesting cover, and it has my name on it." Star proudly grinned, handing me the DVD. I almost choked on my own saliva reading the title.

'The Fault In Our Stars'

"O-Okay, then."

Middle Of The Movie

A familiar thought entered my mind. "Hey Star, earlier, what did that speaker guy say about the dance?" I casually asked. "Hmm? Oh, that. The guy said something about two souls binding for eternity, or something. So, I guess we're super, duper, uper besties now!" She smiled. Two souls binding for eternity? So me and Star.. I flushed red for almost the 3rd time this night. Or, maybe it's in a platonic way..

End Of Movie

"Hey, Star.. C'mon, let's go to bed," I yawned, tired. I heard a cute, little snore and saw Star, lying on my shoulder. I smiled, chuckling softly. I let myself drift to sleep.
Hey, who cares if it's platonic, romantic or whatever. What matters is that she's here, beside me.

A/N: this is rly bad. Probs bc im writing at 4 in the morning
