The light emmiting from my laptop was the only thing which lit up the room. I looked at my alarm clock. Two in the morning. I looked at my Facebook and noticed Star was on. Either that, or she forgot to log out. Oh well. Wouldn't hurt to chat, right?

Marco Diaz joined the chat.

Marco: Hey, Star :p

...

Star: HEY, MARCOOOO!

...

Marco: Star, i think you've accidentally hit caps lock.

...

Star: WHAT'S CAPS LOCK?

...

Marco: Nvm.. Just hit the button that says 'Caps Lock'.

...

Star: Woaah. And you said there was no magic on earth..

...

Marco: Not so sure bout that, Star.

Marco: It's funny... You do know were 5 seconds away from each other.

...

Star: Moving on! We both cant sleep huh? :^)

...

Marco: Yup. Lets go to Starbucks.

...

Star: wats Starbucks?

...

Marco: Come on, get dressed go downstairs. I'll tell mom.

...

Star: Okie, dokie!

Star Butterfly left the chat.

Marco Diaz left the chat.

I quickly turned off my laptop, dressed into my usual hoodie and pants and left. I grabbed a ballpen and a sticky note.

'Dear Mom & Dad,
Me and Star went out for a bit. Love ya.
-Marco'

And with that, I went downstairs, cautious of my every step. On my way down, I saw Star, wearing a sky blue hoodie, with intricate, white patterns on it. I looked at her clothing below. (A/N: not like that perverts) I swore my face was as red as my hoodie. She was wearing really short shorts, which revealed her thighs. I gulped. Stop it, Diaz! This is your freaking best friend.
Her footwear consisted of knee-length socks and some sneakers. Her hair was tied into a ponytail, her devil horns headband in its usual place. I cleared my throat. Star seemed to notice and looked at me, her eyes glassy and barely open.
"Ready to go, Marco..?" She mumbled. I nodded. I went down the last of the steps as Star got up, waiting for me. She rubbed her eyes as she let out a yawn. I chuckled softly. "Come on, Star, let's go." I said. Her smile tugged at my heartstrings. "You first, M'lady," I said as I bowed down dramatically, trying to stifle a laugh. She bowed down as well, giggling. "Why, thank you Duke Marco Diaz-ton, what a gentleman you are!" She said in an english accent as she went out, me holding the door for her. I went out after her, closing the door. "So.. This way to Starbucks?" Star pointed to the mall. "Yup." I muttered. "Hey Star, where'd you get those shorts? I don't think it's good for you, y'know? Guys are gonna stare at you," I warned her, despite staring at her moments before. Star just hummed a merry tune before answering, "Oh, you mean these shorts? Jackie gave them to me! And why'd guys stare at me, silly Marco!" I sighed. "Well, alright then."

"I'll have the Caffe Latte, while she'll have the Caramel Macchiato," I told the waitress. She beamed at both of us. "Alright, you two lovebirds!" She merrily said, walking away. I felt my face heat up, as I saw Star's face do the same. She looked to the window, gazing at the cars.
"Hey, Star.. You okay? These past few days, you don't seem to be yourself. You're less energetic, y'know?" She avoided my look. "It's nothing... Really.." Star mumbled. Something's clearly wrong. "Star, we're best friends. You can tell me anything." I looked at her earnestly. Her shoulders seened to relax as she let out a sigh. "Well... I know you've made progress with Jackie n' all, and.. I kinda feel left out." She admitted sheepishly. I put a hand on her shoulder. "Star.. I'm so sorry.."

"Here are your drinks!" The waitresses' voice chimed in, breaking the moment. "T-thanks.." I murmured. After paying for the drinks, we went out, going home. I gazed at the sky, as did Star. She looked perfect. I suddenly felt arms wrap around my neck. It was Star's. "Huugs.." She softly said. I hugged her back, and it broke off after a while. We finally reached our home as I let out a sigh. I felt a pair of warm lips reach my cheek. I widened my eyes.
"Thanks for taking me out on this, 'Starbucks', thing, Marco. Let's do it again."
