I was early for the family dinner that my mum invited me too along with my sister and her boyfriend Lay, apart from the family our next door neighbour Tao and his family from China are joining us. I wasn't use to family dinners well because we weren't so close as a family anymore I've just started university along with my sister mum and dad have been working late so really this is the first time in months since we actually sat like this. The door bell rang as mum clapped at the excitement of another guest.

"Sange is here!" mum called out to the rest off us.

I stood up as smiled as her and Lay stepped into the house one strange thing was she looked distant from Lay, he stood next to her smiling awkwardly like her was faking it while Sange had her glowing smile on for all of us to see.

"Hey sis" Sange hugged me.

"Hey how are you?" I asked out of concern.

"Good when's Tao and his family Coming?" Sange changed the subject.

As soon as she said that the door bell ramg as mum's running footsteps were heard her high pitched greeting to Tao was heard in the livingroom as Sange began to fix her self up. Sange never does this only when Lay is around but for Tao it was pretty strange to me as to why she would fix her self up for another man. Tao walked in with a smile as Sange embraced him into a long hug, Tao has been our neighbour for years why would she take interest in him now. Lay with red angry eyes saw the scene taking Sange by the hands making Tao aware that Sange was her and only hers.

"Dinners ready!" mum told us.

Sange yanked her hands free of Lay as we all began to flood intot he dinning room mum was on one end while dad was on the other, I sat to the left while Sange sat to the right of mum, Lay of course being next to Sange and me being next to Tao.

"Tao I thought your family was going to join us?" mum asked him.

"Yes but my mum is sick so dad is taking care of her" Tao explains.

"Tao you're Chinese right?" Sange played with her hair while asking him the question.

"Sange you know the answer we've been friends for 5 years" Tao laughed.

I could see the anger growing on Lay the sight of his girlfriend flirting with another man upsets him, I know he wants to scream and shout but it will just make a scene making my parents angery. Lay clutches his knife wnd fork in anger as the constant flirting continues mum and dad could see the scene between Sange along with Tao but dont want to say anything. It was clear to see this was not love it only shows dying love.

After dinner I helped witht he dished along with Sange we stood in silence I wanted to aske why she was flirting withTao but it will be none of my business to get involved, but if no one was going to speak about her acting like a cheap bitch then I will.

"What's wrong with you why was you flirting with Tao when you have Lay?!" I finally snapped.

"Why are you getting involved Misty it's not like you care about me  or Lay or even Tao" Sange hissed.

"You're playing with hearts here human emotions don't you get that you're making Tao think you like him, you're making Lay feel like nothing to you he worships the ground you walk on so sorry for caring" I slammed my hands on the counter.
