I left.
I walked out the door and didn't look back. I didn't think about his feelings or what the upcoming consequences would be. All I knew was I needed to go. I wasn't safe with another human being , let alone being one that had to be a boy. (a good looking one at that.) I made it to my house, the place I felt the most at peace. My sanctuary. I touched to wooden surface of the walls the roughness scratching against my fingers. I went to a wooden cabinet in my room and opened it rummaging through the only pictures with my parents and I . Looking at them felt like I was transported to the good old days where I was little and we was in the park having a good time me laughing and my parents smiling. A banging sound was coming from my door brining me back to reality.. I immediately went into warrior mode. Cold mask on. Weapon in hand. Ready to attack.
I opened the door expecting the worst and coming in contact with nothing. I must have imagined it or something. I closed the door and went to my fridge picking up bread and filling up a glass of water. My mind wondered to the food yesterday and I sighed . It was only a one time thing anyway I thought to my self and with that I went to my room and ate alone.
For the next few days after that, I didn't hear anything from him. My life went back to normal. I was out in the field I decided to go to a new location. looking for anything that was unusual. when I noticed the air shift. I felt the first breeze brush past my face. I quickly started running in the direction of my house that was a good hour away from where I was. I guess I was too late because a lot of wind came rushing in causing me to stumble back. Each time I would try and get up I instantly fall back down, it was hopeless and so I just made myself into a ball shape next to a tree and waited silently for the wind to stop.
I was out in my car going for a drive to clear my head. After Tara left I felt hurt but how could I when I only just met her. Being cooped up in my house wasn't helping, so going for a drive might help. As I was out I saw a figure hunched next to a tree. My instinct was to help the person even though the weather wasn't the best, I couldn't just leave them out there. After I picked the person up gently I sped off to my house.
It was Tara and she was so cold so very cold. She must have been out for almost a day now and I am starting to get worried. I check her forehead every 15 minutes but the temperature never changes. I don't want a rewind of last time so I didn't take her droopy flower from her. I decided on making dinner and save some for her for when she did wake up. I couldn't even eat dinner properly. The food tasted bland to me. I was just too worried. It was approaching 11 o'clock and she still hasn't woken up. I check her pulse. It is beating which is a good sign. But she still felt cold so very cold, even with so many covers around her she felt like ice.
I went to bed staring at the ceiling that night.
